You had your way with Freddy Kreuger, now it's time to kill lots and lots of terrorists in a South American jungle while rescuing American embassy officials. Yes, it's time for Operation Wolf!

Post a score and let's get this thing rolling!

Please post any tips you may have - best tip gets 1 bonus point!

And if anyone has a link to the manual, please post it. I actually found it myself  manual scan.

Note: Only scores achieved by playing a new game, from the beginning, will count - no continues!

Controls: you may use either a light gun or the control pad, and you may use a mouse to emulate a light gun if you are using an emulator.

This week's competition ends next Tuesday (April 3) morning at approximately 8:00 am PST.

This week's standings:

Tips

Read the manual; it gives the scoring for everything and has other important information.

Also from the manual:

Quote

-Don't fire constantly - preserve your ammunition.
-Pick up extra weapon supplies for maximum fire power.
-Don't hit civilians.
-Fire at the knife soldier before he gets the prisoner.
-Armored cars, gunboats and helicopters inflict the most damage. Aim at them first.
-Press the "A" button to speed up the screens that appear before and after each mission.

Also: if you are using/emulating a lightgun, press B plus the lightgun trigger to throw a grenade.

bust3dstr8:

Quote

Save most of your grenades for double armor kills, shoot right between a helicopter or boat and tank.
The splash will kill 'em both.

Shoot the chickens in the River stage they almost always drop grenades.

Make sure to shoot grenades...they hurt ALOT.

You can concentate on saving alot of POW's in the village stage, you get a free heal at end.

Go nuts with grenades in ammo dump, you get nine at end of round.

Don't even think of using the Zapper for this game....it sux balls.

Hard to get a screenshot, since your score is no longer visible when you die. Still, Operation Wolf gets my nomination for one of the cheesiest game over messages:

"You have sustained a lethal injury. Sorry, but you are finished here."

Picked up the cart on the way home today. The Zapper is complete shit. It can barely fire 2 shots a second with this damn game. If we where gonna play a Zapper game I wish it was Hogans Ally.

I have a zapper but I don't have this game, so I guess I'll have to emulate for now. I can probably pick up this game over the weekend. For now here's my first score:

I took the pick at the start of the 2nd loop.
I was gonna take another pic right before I died, but then I went out like a bitch.....ran outta ammo.

Save most of your grenades for double armor kills, shoot right between a helicopter or boat and tank.
The splash will kill 'em both.

Shoot the chickens in the River stage they almost always drop grenades.

Make sure to shoot grenades...they hurt ALOT.
