Sony Computer Entertainment Europe president David Reeves said "the difference between 60 and the 80 gigabyte is very small. We just feel that going up 20 gigabyte is not worth it. If you're going to double it, it's worth it. So maybe you'll see something a little bit later, but 60 and 80? Really not much difference."

David Reeves said the new ps 3 pack in Europe with an 2 controllers and 2 games for the system will be the same price as the ps 3 is currently right now in europe.

Europe didn't get 2 different models of the ps 3 when the system was launched in March and that was without the emtion chip. The President of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe made that statement to the european with it being reported for Europe.

Someone at Sony saying something sensible? They should fire him immediately!

If these new platforms are serious about offering lots of downloadable content (particularly movies) then they need at least 160Gb of HD. This is silly, it's not as if hard drives are expensive.

Yup. He just needs to amend his statement to read, "No PS3 is worth it right now." :P :ponder:

The PS3 and 360 use 2.5" drives. They only make them as large as 200GB right now, and 160+ GB does not come cheap in this size.

"that 10 times fast" :P

Seriously though, with software emulation instead of the EE chip.. the PS3 just isn't worth it period. As many times as I've said to friends of mine online about Sony, I'll say it here.

SONY FAILED IT!!
