There is a sequel/spinoff of this game called Demon Sword for the NES.

How is Demon Sword a spinoff/sequel to TLoK? From what information I can find, they share a publisher (Taito), a theme (martial arts), a genre (side-scrolling platform fighting), and a style (ridiculously floaty jumping), but aren't really connected otherwise.

Yeah, it's not a sequel but I'd at least say a spinoff since it pretty much uses the same game mechanics as Legend of Kage.

I've never really liked this game - it just doesn't control very well - but I gave it another try.
