But it didn't work for me.

My 2 nd. CBS ColecoVision is dead after this attempt.
It turns on, but there are only a black screen.

The guy who have it on his site, have not even tried on its own, he has just put it out on his own site.

Would a U.S. Mod. work in a U.S. Machine worldwide ?.

Do you mean you would buy an NTSC Colecovision, fit an NTSC mod and then use it in Europe?
That would work providing that your TV can accept NTSC signal either composite or S-video.
CV games are region free

Yes Mimo, I can only see it as a last resort.

As I read it around here at the Forum, so should it be possible.

My Grundig Television has Ntsc / Pal / Secam, but my feeling tells me that as long as you use your own 250 V. 50 Hz. power supply, would there not be a problem.

Your Power supply thrushes down to the 12 and 5 volts anyway.

Av is AV, and as i understand it, are there no tuner involved.
The Videosignal go as you know right through. -right !

But whether it has an impact on the 10 Hz. from U.S. 60 Hz. and our 50 Hz., I do not know.

Use your 240v power supply no problem
Unfortunately AV is not always AV, so NTSC wont always work on PAL, and PAL rarely works on NTSC.
You would probably experience a slowdown of the games, but more colours.
The other option of course is to buy a SECAM Coleco from France for the RGB SCART output.(In hindsight I wish that I had bought an NTSC one from Atarimax or the like so I was sure of a working console )

For your information I use S-Video moded NTSC 2600,7800 and 800XL with no problem (all using UK 50hz power supply)

I can see a pot-meter, did you mounted that ?.

Plug sitting back, how it is mounted in the other end of the cable, is there a Scartstik, or is it composite / component ?.

you mean next to u29? i have not added anything btw.
it is scart and only output is RGB

That is strange to Coleco launch RGB only for those who receive signals in SECAM.

It will say that their machine is the best in SECAM.

All of us who have NTSC and PAL, we did not have that option.

We will sit and fiddle with various designs, to get our ColecoVision to work...

But who cares anymore, i bought mimo's French SECAM CBS ColecoVision Console.
It has RGB via Scart-connector, and vupti perfect and clear picture.

Ben Heck's AV mod works pretty well too. I installed it on my CV a few years ago and it gives a fairly sharp picture.
