I'm wanting to "map out" the pcb inside the NEC Turbo Duo/PC Engine Duo. I've already made a chart of all the capacitors (with values and polarity listed) for repair reference and now I'd like to chart what pcb components relate to: hucard, cd-rom, audio, video, power, etc. (All the chips, caps, etc. Everything.)

It seems very difficult to gather information from the web about this so I'm putting out the word on several website forums to see if I can gather enough brains to map this thing out for the benefit of all.

I've been working on repairing a PC Engine Duo (Japanese Turbo Duo) that had audio issues. I am familiar with the usual suggested ways of repairing this, but after all those steps, this particular unit still does not work properly. I'm thinking that if I knew which chips, caps, etc related to which functions of the system then it would be much easier to troubleshoot for myself, and for anyone else in the future who wishes to do the same.

Have any info, website links, advice? Anything is appreciated. The chart for all the caps can be found over at pcenginefx.com in the mod/repair forum.

Thanks for the link ApolloBoy, but that's actually the chart I was referring to in my post. Red Ghost and I are one and the same :)

I've been trying to register on that site for quite awhile. I have no clue why they have never let me. Perhaps my Internet Provider or region?
