Hi, I've been searching through online stores to find adapters and cables for my PS3 to hook up to my monitor. With my 360 I just bought the VGA cord, but I found non with the PS3. I did however find some HDMI to DVI cords on Newegg. Its either that or getting a VGA box thats more expensive. My question is how will I get audio? I know HDMI tranfers video and audio, but does DVI do the same? How will it be when I use the cord to connect it to my monitor? So my main concern is how will I get sound. Any help would be great!

I never connected a console up the way you are trying.
Can't you just use regular audio cables in conjunction with the cable for the video? I'm not exactly sure what kind of hookups you have.
I did find some threads on other forums with discussions about what I think you are talking about, maybe one of them can give you some things that will help determine what is best to try...

It sounds like many monitors might not work at all with the PS3 (Note the date on the thread tho...(very out of date info, might not be relevant anymore)...

Thanks a bunch, that actually helped me out a lot. I basically need to buy the cable and connect the RCA audio jacks to my headphones and it will work.
