vdub_bobby
Climb out of your tank and grab your cane. It's time for Duck Tales! Post a score and let's get this thing rolling! Please post any tips you may have - best tip gets 1 bonus point! A few notes: Play on the NORMAL difficulty, and only scores for games played from the beginning will count! No continues! And let's follow some of the rules from TG: Your scoring attempt ends when you either lose your last life or complete the game. Your final total will be what is displayed under Total, as you technically don't keep the money in the stage until you go back to Duckburg and deposit it all. YOU MAY ONLY COLLECT EACH EXTRA LIFE ONCE! (This is due to a bug where they may reset in a level). And if anyone has a link to the manual, please post it. This week's competition ends next Tuesday (August 28) morning at approximately 8:00 am PST. This week's scores: $2,483,000 LarcenTyler (+10 pts) Twin Galaxies High Scores $12,134,000 Rudy J Ferretti $11,391,000 Joseph E Russell $6,016,000 Mr. Kelly R Flewin Overall standings: 1. vdub_bobby (127 pts) 2. 8th lutz (96 pts) 3. Lauren Tyler
$2,483,000 I'm sure we could all use that kind of money. I'd be able to afford just about everything at AnimeBoston and still have enough to go to another convention or two!
vdub_bobby
I guess no one really wanted to play this...I tried a few times but I couldn't complete a single level! I remember renting this way back in the day and getting much farther, but it couldn't hold my attention now, I guess. So...we're done! gdement
Between some combination of forgetting about the game this week and being busy with other things the last few evenings, I never ended up playing it. I'm annoyed that I missed this one - I haven't played this game in forever and I remember liking it.

It's a pretty standard platformer in the SMB-mold (i.e., horizontal scrolling, jump on enemies) with a unique control system, you use his cane as a pogo stick. It's a little frustrating at times, but overall pretty cool.
