Enough abstract though - it's time to run like crazy and grab the gold! Yes, it's time for Lode Runner!

Post a score and let's get this thing rolling!

Please post any tips you may have - best tip gets 1 bonus point! No skipping stages or using SELECT to restart a stage without losing a life! Do not press SELECT! Also: Lode Runner only awards points after completing a level.

And if anyone has a link to the manual, please post it.

Well.....this game is a sonuvabitch!!

After playing for about 30 minutes, I've only gotten 800 points. I'm stuck on Level 2. This game is fucking HARD!!! I don't remember it being that hard. If it didn't raise the difficulty to such an obscene level right off the bat....maybe it wouldn't be so bad.

This is waaaaaay harder than every other version I've ever played since you can't see the whole level at once! Which means lots of cheap deaths when you are surprised by enemies. :x

Lots of practice on the A800. The fact that you can't see the whole level at once is pretty annoying, though.

I just seriously suck at this game.

Still can't pass Stage 2. :x

And I'm usually great at strategy games such as this.

I tried, but I couldn't make sense out of this game. After watching a youtube video of somebody beating the first level, I realized it's way over my head.

:?

This really is a great, classic game. You guys should try one of the good computer versions, like the A800 or the Apple II. This NES version is a pretty poor port.

But anyway, we're done!
