I bought this other day as it was going cheap. I was AMAZED at how short it was. I sat down at 5 pm by 10: 20 PM I had won the war. It reminded me of a first person version of the great Rainbow six. While I was playing it it was great and when it was over i THOught wtf.
I took it back to the shop and the guy tells me it is an online game that is why it was so short...
So I changed it for blazing angels 2 which is quite good......
Does anyone love this game or is it just me?

Why'd you take it back.. the only way to play COD4 is the multiplayer and leveling up in it. That is the whole game. No one plays the single player :P

And if you did finish the single player so fast something tells me you didn't play it on Veteran.. or did you :)

Well I always start the game at the normal setting and go from there....

my xbox live is down.... so i cannot play it online...... my brother said the same thing to me.. you have to play it on vetran... consider me me retro which is good on this site... but i Still believe you should put an offline game into your game... say like in MOH Airborne....

The Single Player campaign is pretty short. Even on Vet, it won't take you too long. I like it that way, instead of filler/dragging the story on and on.

MP is awesome, and worth it if you use it.

Arcade Mode makes the single player keep it's replay value.

Short SP? What are you guys playing on super easy or are you just that good at FPS'? I'm at the level after Death From Above and i've played probley 6 hrs so far. I'm playing on Hardened and have died alot durning the game.

About how far am I in the game? I stil have Act 2 and 3 to go.

However Call of Duty 4 SP seems a lot longer than Halo 3's singleplayer....

Its shorter actually... having beat both of them Halo 3 was the longer..... then again that could have been me getting lost.....

I just beat Call of Duty 4 a week ago! I loved it from beginning to end especially now that I have an HDTV.

Peace,

Tim
