being new here, I realize I haven't tortured you all with my 'family' photos yet. So here's my neo geo mvs--the first arcade machine in my collection, and until I get more space, it's the only one I have room for. She's obviously a conversion from something else--anybody's guess, but her coin counter reads over 92k, so she's quite old.

neo geo is the only way to see how perfect 16-bit gaming should have been. the to-do upgrade list for her includes a 2-slot board (for greater compatibility with newer titles), stereo speakers/amp, and a new wiring harness--since the colors sometimes go if I don't keep tension on my current one.

I did order a consolized mvs about a year ago--which I'm slightly bitter about not having yet. It was from a family member who kind of blew me off, so I'm not allowed to get too upset.

In the future, once the new orleans housing market settles a bit, I'd really like to get a Naomi driving cabinet to add to the collection. Naomi seems to have a good variety of driving titles. And I'd like to get a modern Pachinko and a Pachislo machine, and maybe a crane machine or quarter pusher as well. I have an old pachinko machine, which seems to work fine, but it's just not as flashy as the new ones.

well my new baby MVS just showed up so I'm bringing this zombie thread back up. Very handsome unit. And playing mvs on the projector has me pretty happy, even if the s-video and home controller aren't quite up to the level of the cabinet. Best is that the butt kicking is mobile now, as soon as I find some kind of hard case to haul it all around in.

inside is actually an mv-1fz--so it's a bit surprising that the cart goes in that way versus parallel to the main board. a lot of rewiring must have been required just to get it looking that way.

What games do you have?
I have a 4-slot with about 12 games. The ones I want most right now are WAY too expensive due to their rarity factor.

the 100+in-1 carts seem to be dropping the prices on a lot of games I've wanted. So while I also bought one of those monsters, I'm snapping up games like neo turf masters that I could never have afforded before that thing was released.

my mvs cart list:

108-in-1 (gets a lot of play)
kabuki klash
Garou mark of the wolves
rage of dragons
kof '98
kof '99
street slam
neo turf masters
panic bomber
blazing star
last blade
samurai showdown IV
bust-a-move
metal slug
metal slug 2
neo geo cup '98
wold heros perfect
fatal fury real bout
fatal fury real bout 2

of course there are huge holes in my collection, so I'm still building it. I guess Waku Waku 7, Shock Troopers and aero fighters 2 are the 3 I'm halfway shopping around for now.
anyway, what's your collection like?

--------------------------------------------
oh, and if anybody's looking for neo geo extension cables and a bit shellshocked by the ebay prices, I did some minor digging and these are much less expensive. (shipping is higher than you'd think, but still much less than the ebay ones)

I have World Heroes, World Heroes Perfect, Bust-A-Move, Fatal Fury Special, Real Bout Fatal Fury Special, Neo Bomberman, Waku Waku 7, Samurai Shodown II, SNK vs. Capcom, Metal Slug X, King Of Fighters 2003, and Art Of Fighting 2.

The ones I want really bad are Super Dodge Ball and Viewpoint; those are the ones that'll cost me an arm and a leg on Ebay. Forget it!
