What does the C stand for in AUDC0 and AUDC1? Is it Control? (I know what it does, I just want to know what C officially stands for.)

Thanks.

11.1 Tone
The noise-tone generator is controlled by writing to the 4 bit audio control registers (AUDC0, AUDC1)
