I have just bought a used 360 Arcade from Gamestation & would like to know wether it has the newer suspossedly more reliable board. can this be told via the serial number or are all the arcade models the same? I am a little concerned about the RROD and other reliability issues although I do have a 1 year gurantee with the shop and as I understand it Microsoft will honour the 3 years for red ring faliures. In use it doesn't seem to get very hot so I'm assuming it quite a new one.
best regards,
Chris

Look at your Power brick. If it says 175w you have the one with the cooler run Falcon chips.

Thanks folks, I have the 175w PSU and the box details tally with the latest falcon board.
Thats good to know. Can't belive the price has just been dropped today though, could have had brand new now for the price I paid used last week. Never mind I'm having fun on it and that's what I bought it for :-)
