Rather than make separate topic's for a couple thoughts I have, I'd thought I'd combine them into one post:

UNCHARTED..... Gawd, I love this game. Everything from the storyline, to the voice overs, to the graphic's, to the soundtrack, to the controls.... this is quality thru and thru. I completed the game once and recovered 31 treasures without really looking for them; now I'm going thru a 2nd time and attempting to find them all. Don't know if anyone else has played the game on "Crushing" but man, its H*A*R*D! I'm at the airplane crash point and the game just keeps throwing and throwning and throwing bad guys at me. Can't remember the last time I died so frequently but had a blast doing so!

THEMES..... Really like the fact that Sony is giving away so many themes for free. Some of them are really outstanding and beautiful, like the Uncharted and Lair themes. BUT.... the ones with sound they can keep. I downloaded some of the Pain themes and hearing farts and squeals was funny at first. But after a few minutes of hearing the sounds, the humor totally vanished. Downloaded the Lost Planet theme yesterday but once again, the sound it produces for every move you make on the XMB I found completely annoying.

EYE OF JUDGEMENT.... Okay, I knew this would happen. Was really curious about the game (even though I've never played a collectable card game before) but I was really, really hesitant to purchase because I didn't want to get caught up in constantly buying $4 booster paks and $15 theme decks. Then Amazon put the game on sale for $42 and I could resist no more, especially since the game was only a few dollars more than the Eye itself. Received the game Tuesday and instantly got into the playing and strategy of the game. And before I even knew it, I was the proud owner of 11 expansion paks and 2 theme decks. Sigh.... and then after downloading and viewing the trailer for the new EoJ2 Expansion, my wallet is beginning to scream. DAMN YOU SONY!!!!

FIRMWARE UPDATE.... can't wait for this to appear because finally the PS3 will have the "RESUME MOVIE" option that my $29 spare DVD player has always had.

Finally, METAL GEAR SOLID PS3 BUNDLE..... I've been thinking of getting a 2nd PS3 for my gaming room as the wife-unit won't let me move "her" system from the living room. Saw the pictures of the "Steel" colored MGS bundle and am hoping that this system isn't a Japan only release. System really looks GREAT, has the game I've been waiting for included, and will give me "my own" PS3 to play with. Not sure I'd buy a 40gb as a 2nd system but the MGS bundle would probably convince me to do so.

Also I love Eye of Judgement...but have a lot of trouble with the game. For some reason we can rarely make it through a game where the camera doesn't start screwing up and not reading cards. We try and adjust the lights and the cards but nothing seems to help. It gets really un-fun to deal with that crap.

I looked at the link you posted (and Thanks!) and not sure if the PS3 in that bundle is the "Steel" version of "Black" version. Hopefully the U.S. will get the Steel version but I've only seen stories where Japan is mentioned. Seems Japan always gets more variety in system colors and bundles than the U.S. does but I'm hoping......

As for EoJ, I had the camera problem you mentioned the first time I set it up, as the camera was sensitive as heck and would read cards and not read cards. Finally set the game up on a table directly under an overhead light and I haven't experienced camera problems since. I'm really enjoying the game but having to set up a special table with special lighting is a bit of a hassle. Oh the things we gamers do......

That's the thing. I hauled a bright ass floor lamp from upstair and flooded the area we were in with light.
No good.
Some times unplugging the camera and plugging it back in seems to help. I dunno, maybe I have a bad camera. Its too bad, we always start out having a blast and end up pissed (well I do)

In regards to the link, I posted it because there was a picture of a steel colored PS3 on the page, checking now though I see it was a customer posted image so I guess that doesn't mean much Looking around I can't find any conrete info the steel version is coming to the US. It looks like if PS3 fans had a say in it, they wouldn't be coming.

Seems like most people responding didn't like the look of it. Still... that's a small sample (probably of 15 years olds) to be judging on I guess. I personally would like it. The black is cool, but damn does it show off finger prints BAD. LOL

I've had a couple of times when the camera stop recognizing the cards, but overall I've been almost problem free. Don't know if its due to the settings I use, the light, or a combination of.

Don't have a link to give at the moment, but on the official PS3 forums people have been showing pictures of tables they have built especially for EoJ. Most have the playfield inlaid into the top of the table and some have lighting built in. One guy had a couple of those "goose neck" lamps built in and his table looked really, really nice.
