Those would be great. I dug mine out again recently and am still impressed after all these years. Been playing crystal mines II the last 2 evenings.

R-type, sure! Lynx needs a great shoot'em up. R-type or Salamander.

* MegaMan 1-6
* Phantasy Star
* Castlevania (especially 2)
* Act Fencer (I know - that's pretty obscure: )
* Ghoul'n'Ghosts/Ghost'n'Goblins
* Gunstar Heroes (Now, wouldn't THAT be awesome!)
* R-Type
* Chrono Trigger (yeah, dream on)
* Puyo Puyo
* Metroid (or better yet - Super Metroid!)

Hey!
I'd LOVE there to be a Metroid clone on Lynx! Something with as much character, polish, depth and phenomenal art direction would be awesome on a system where even the best games barely raise past the quality mark of middle-of-the-road indie project.

Someone wants to code one?

Slime World has some of the Metroid atmosphere and visuals, though the actual gameplay is pretty different. It would be interesting to see a Slime World hack with Metroid gameplay...although it might be tough to incorporate new powerups. The jetpack and mega bombs could probably be altered easily to full-time abilities (instead of one-time use items). Maybe some boots that make you immune to sticky slime and some grippers that let you scale slippery walls, or a suit that reduces damage from slime pools...

Lynx really had/(has) so much potential for a lot of the titles mentioned which seriously should have found it's way onto the system but sadly never did.

Doom, R-Type, and Moon Patrol I think are great suggestions. I really like the idea of a Wolfenstein 3D port..that would be fun.
Anything along the lines of an RPG would be neat, maybe a Dragon Warrior port, or a spinoff. Sorry, I use my handhelds at work for entertainment, having a handful of games I can soak a couple hours into on a sitting is my goal! :)
Ghouls and Ghosts was another great suggestion. Wonder Boy/Adventure Island. Phantasy Star or Maybe Y's would be really cool. Perhaps a real solid Defender port would be good.... I still love Defender.

I'd go with Street Fighter II - Capcom did a good job porting it to the old crappy b/w Game Boy, just think what it could look like on the Lynx! Moreover the Lynx definately lacks a good 2D Beat'em'up... (just like a good RPG - Distant Lands, where are you?)

Until I learned that EGM was doing an April Fools
trick reporting SFII on the Lynx, I was so excited.

As well as Double Dragon, I know. I've already played them on the Lynx. Anyway, I think these 2 games could be better than they already are on the Lynx, they should be re-converted.

Every classic console needs a port of Mr. Do!, and I'd just love to see a port on the Lynx. Still...

Pepper II

Would be a completely awesome title for the Lynx.
