I just wanted to report that my 360 hasn't broken down yet...

I picked it up yesterday (04/11/08)...

Actually, I wanted to let some other AA members know about the deal I got. EB Games (Canada) is having a promo where they will give you $200 in credit toward a 360 or PS3 when you trade in 8 games with a minimum trade in value of $8 (they bump your trade value up to $25 per game when traded towards the system). It just so happens that recently here in Canada, Blockbuster put a bunch of late PS2 releases on sale for $7.99.. and most of them qualified for the EB offer...

So, after a bit of legwork, I was able to put together 8 games to trade in to EB for $64 +tax. An additional $79+ tax ($143+tax total) and I was driving home with a new 360.

They had the same type of promo last month for the PSP Daxter bundle (8 games) and DS Lites (5 games).

Now I just need to find Burnout Paradise for a good price...

Do they tell you what games qualify for that deal? I'm just curious to know what games you have to trade in for that deal to work...

They have to have a min trade value of $8.

The titles I found at Blockbuster that worked as of 04/12 were:

Keep in mind that a lot of the Blockbusters never restickered these titles so you may have to ask them to scan them..

What does your 360 sound like?

Mine kinda sounds like a little cement mixer... is that bad?

I can't believe how loud this thing is.. when I play after the kids are in bed, I almost feel that the system itself is too loud...

I really wouldn't compare my 360 to a cement mixer per-sey.
Maybe a clothes dryer with about 20 marbles thrown in it is a better description.
The damn thing is kinda loud for sure.
