You Don't Know Flack is my podcast, in which I tell stories related to retro computers, videogames, arcade games, and technology. If you enjoy my stories and/or my blogs, you'll enjoy this podcast. Episodes will be released on the 1st and 15th of each month, and will be approximately 30 minutes in length. Feedback is greatly appreciated. Let me know what you think, and what you want to hear!

---

Episode 101
In the first episode of You Don't Know Flack I discuss three firsts in my life: my first videogame console (the Volley VI pong clone, by Roberts), my first home computer (TRS-80 Model III), and the first arcade game I ever purchased (Taito's Elevator Action).

Episode 102
In honor of Gary Gygax (1938-2008), episode 2 of You Don't Know Flack is dedicated to Dungeons and Dragons. In this 30 minute episode you'll get lots of D&D stories, a few D&D videogame references, and some ninja-related sound effects.

Episode 103
Episode 103 is all about arcades -- all the ones I used to hang out in, some of which are still around today. A few of the topics touched on include why collecting arcade games is a terrible idea, what happened to all the arcades, and what arcades were really like. The last 10-15 minutes are a collection of four funny arcade-related stories. Enjoy!

(NEW!) Episode 104
Episode 104 (which is late) is about console copiers. In this episode I talk about where saw my first console copiers and some of the copiers I've picked up over the years. I also briefly touch on a couple of my favorite topics, "security through obscurity" and "security through minority."

You Don't Know Flack - Episode 105
Episode 5 of You Don't Know Flack tells the story of Boss BBS, an old BBS I used to call back in the Commodore 64 days -- until the day it mysteriously disappeared, and I heard the sysop's name on the 10pm news ...

Keeping the momentum going ...

Episode 110 is Online.

In light of Sony's recent decision to end production of 3 1/2 floppy disks, Episode 110 of You Don’t Know Flack is all about floppy disks -- from the history of floppies to specific memories and stories I have regarding them.

Love the podcast so far, brings back some great memories (we are close in age apparently and shared similar interests growing up).

One problem, I tried signing up at your forums (The Gas Chamber) and for some reason, no matter what, that captcha just would not register correctly.

Thanks man. Actually, it was probably working okay; I have such low traffic to the forum that I'm just manually validating people for now. Keeps the spammers at bay.

Episode 111 is Online.

Episode 111 is a lot about my old BBS, The Gas Chamber, and a little about my new forum, The Gas Chamber. It is not about real gas chambers at all.

I like this episode. Love BBS nostalgia in general. To think I started on BBSes 21 years ago on a TI-99/4A. Eventually I moved up computers & ran a BBS of my own, quite badly. Met quite a few people in those days, and it's weird to run into them many years later in life, where they have zero memory of you.

Then you see the same people move onto livejournal(bleah), and various other social networks.

Downloading now.  For a one man show, Flack, you are doing great in keeping it from becoming boring or slow.  Great job man.

Is the fact that the first episode is called episode 101, and so on supposed to be a reference to the You Don't Know Jack web game, that ended on it's 100th episode?

Sorry, I'm a nerd :P .
