I purchased a really nice boxed factory reconditioned atari system and these were inside. I asked where they came from and the guy said that they were in there when he got it. Dont know when he got it though. Back in the day? Anyhow, I have never seen the likes of these before and thought I would ask the experts. One is Demon attack and one is starmaster. Let me know what you all think! PS sorry for the crap picture.

Have you playtested them to see if they differ from the released version?

Yes, I was most intrested in the Demon attack but I couldnt get it to work. But the starmaster looks just like the released version. I couldnt tell if there were any differences in the gameplay, it seemed the same though.

I was thinking the same but those are quite specific pcb's they would never fit inside a cart. I can see if they hacked and re-used an old pcb. But, these are socketed and seem to be meant to swap out chips. Do you suppose that they had these made just to copy some games? Seems like a lot of trouble just for that. Although, you still might be right.

O_O those look home made, i mean i thought proto boards would be able to fit in a cart
o.o made to copy games? it would sound accurate, someone maybe was trying to make a few dollars copying atari games back then.
Sure why not i've done that with PSX games :P

I have some of those PCB's. They are most likely home made pirated games. Anything used in a lab would have a ZIF socket.

Did you pay alot for them? If so, and they turn up fake, then you've been had.
