I will be getting a chance to meet several Horror Movie Celebs in October.

Angus Scrimm (Phantasm)
Malcolm McDowell (Star Trek, Halloween 2007, Clockwork Orange, Doomsday, Etc.)
Elvira
George Romero and almost the entire cast of Dawn of the Dead (Original)

If any programmers want to make a Batari Basic game based on one of the movies/characters for any of the above I will do the artwork and get a copy of the cartridge signed for you.

I never knew how regional some of these host are. I grew up with Nightmare Theatre starring Sammy Terry.

wow,didn't know that even heard Svengoolie , he's major local celeb here in IL.
theres even a yahoo group for Sven (and his alter ego rich who host the stooge a plaoza show that shows all 3 stooges
short with out a break in the short for commercials)
Jerry G the orignal Sven, used to host screaming yellow theater back in the 70's
I think I know about that link you posted,it may have been mention the yahoo group sometime ago.

That's a lot like what I have going in bB, except I used no_blank_lines. Our sprites are almost pixel for pixel the same, but I used Razor from Maniac Mansion as my template. I made her in 8 and 16 pixel versions.

I did mine freehand, and was amazed with the results. I don't even know where to go with a side view though.

I started to draw a mummy, but it wasn't coming out right at all.

Do you have an idea for a full game?

I would sure like to meet those Ghost Hunters guys and ask them why they always say "what was that?!!" in a shocked tone of voice after they ask a ghost to make a noise. Um, you just asked a ghost to do something. You supposedly believe that ghosts are real. Don't you think it's silly to act surprised when a ghost does what you ask? And how about remembering to say "thank you" to the ghost when it does interact with you?

The deadline for games will be October 7th (Signing on Oct 17-19). If you are working on a game let me know so I can start working on label designs and make arrangements to get the carts made in time.

You will receive an Autographed copy of the game on cartridge and I will post pictures of your cartridge being signed. In the past I have had George Romero and Robert Englund ask for copies of the games so this time I will have an extra copy on hand to give them. I don't know if there will be time to do a full blown instruction manual but I will at least have an instruction sheet that will also have the game credits (Which can also be signed). Just post questions here or send me a PM.

I'm curious did you get permission to these games based on the
horror hosts and movies?
you prob did, I was just wondering.
(it would cool to see a Svengoolie video game,he is big in IL )

I don't have permission to use the names or the images. I have never had a problem using images or logos in these games. I have met George Romero and several other celebrities in the past and have never had an issue made of the games. They understand that it is a fan-made project and not a commercial venture. I always make an extra copy to give to them when I meet them.

If you can come up with a Svengoolie sprite, I can put it in a game for you.
