I was using my SC1224 (Goldstar 1986 model) and it was working fine. I left it on for about an hour and came back and the screen was black. It seems it has died. It gets power and the LED is on but no screen. It sounds like it usually does when you first turn it on but will not work. I would hate to just throw it away, but I know it might cost a lot to try to have it repaired. Anything I can do or just get another one for $15? lol

$15? I wish I could find one that cheap.

If you find yourself in Dallas Texas I could pass one on to you.

Necrobump.

I still have this monitor in my garage and was reading up on some issues others were having and it seems mine is suffering from a burned out Flyback transformer. As there was no pop, or smoke etc. It powers on fine and green LED is on. Just has no screen.

Where can I get a compatible Flyback transformer for this Goldstar SC1224?
