When I get too frustrated with Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, I play CoD MW3. I'm only level 7 or 8, but since I just found out about the Specialist class, I'm going to see how fast I can get to level 20, so I can get it. That seems like it'll be a blast.

What else? Skyrim, and that's likely to bbe the only thing I play for the next month or two
Anybody know an easy way to kill a dragon? (or do I just gotta be hella high level first?)

Finished up The Saboteur (main mission at least with quite a few side missions completed as well) and now am playing Deus Ex. Really, really like it so far.

Just purchased Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 and Sonic Generations.
UMvC3 - it plays quite differently from MvsC2, I am terrible at pulling off moves. Awesome visuals. I like playing with Thor and Hulk. Hulk is "savage hulk" this time around, saying stuff like "Hulk help!" instead of the more sophisticated speech from earlier games. Caf Jr beat the game in single player , so I got to see Galactus. I love those bigger-than-the-screen enemies.
SG - I like the self-referencing dialogue. "This seems awfully familiar to me", says modern Sonic after running thru the Sonic 1 level Green Hill Zone. "Not to me" says modern Tails, who wasn't in that game.
I have barely scratched the surface of this game so far. But I love Sonic and this seems a good one.

Awesome game, its an adjustable Gradius, with some new weapons. Due to the adjustments you can make, the character mainly is picked, for the type of option it has.
Saying that, it was one MAJOR flaw that I can't stand... the colors are too vibrant in the background, making the bullets disappear from view. It may not be the case for you, but some of the backgrounds make it super difficult to see what's going on.
Lately I've been playing Battlefield 3, every night with some old military friends. Very fun game, and it is 3x harder than MW3 when it comes to difficulty of opponents playing online. Its a LOT more fun too.
Tonight I am inviting a bunch of people (you're welcome here too to join me), at 7 30PM EST, of a private lobby of Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3. I already have number 2 and 3 of my team locked down (Super-Skrull and Ammy, for her cold star assist), but I am having problems seeing who I want to have starting. I'm good with felicia for her rushdown but I can't seem to land any combos online. Hawkeye is nice for his keepaway, and I can get in and do some air combos without an issue, but I can't do his advanced combos like I can with Felicia. Wolverine is nice he's just too quick to do any impressive combos in the heat of battle. I think I am going Felicia/Super-Skrull/Ammy tonight.

Just finished MW3 on normal difficulty. It's my brother's so I had to return it. The Co-Op split screen is pretty cool but my brother likes to charge ahead and while it helps him gain points on kills, I was constantly having to revive him. He's like that on all games.
Now I'm splitting time between Batman A.C. and Assassin's Creed 2
Batman is really cool on a 3D TV!

Getting into the new Defense Grid map pack, "You Monster". Haven't finished enjoying the first of 8 maps, all for $5. Those guys at Hidden Path know what's up. Defense Grid FTW.

I bought Sonic CD. 400 points. It is a fantastic effort! You get both NA and J soundtracks, it is in widescreen and looks and sounds great, it has better animation than the original yet still feels like its being perfectly emulated. You can play as Tails once you beat the game once, which is pretty fun too. The special stages seem like they are 60fps now which will drop your jaw. The attention to detail and labors of love to do justice to Sonic CD are undeniable. "Taxman", who created the retro engine behind this, really knows his Sonic CD because this port is better than SEGA's Sonic 4.
Even though I have played Sonic CD countless times since it came out, its been a while. So Caf Jr and me too, we were having great fun rediscovering the secrets and paths and strategies. I like the NA tune "Sonic Boom" during the cartoon intro, but after that its been a real treat to play using the Japanese tunes, which are overall filled with lots of energy and perfectly fit the Sonic gameplay. Anyone else playing this?

What do you mean by it's in widescreen? They have a special border around the 4:3 area of your screen like their previous Genesis releases on XBLA, right?
If the gameplay area is 16:9, they did a ton of work other than just doing a straight port of it, or it's incorrectly stretching the game.
Nice touch to put the Japanese music on there. Sonic CD on Sonic Gems Collection for the GameCube just had the North American soundtrack. I'll finally be able to hear what all the fuss has been about over the years.
Edit - It looks good to me.
Although 29 seconds in, when I pause the video, that circular area is a bit wider than it is tall (i.e., it's slightly oval shaped). Not sure if it's my monitor geometry settings being slightly off from true 4:3, the game was supposed to be that way, or if it's a telltale sign of it being stretched.
Either way, it looks fine to me.

It is not 4:3. It may be stretched, but it doesn't look stretched. As I understand it , it isn't emulated but uses a new "Retro Sonic Engine" which was invented by talented hobbyists. It plays great, sounds great, looks great. It is enhanced as I described already.

I just downloaded the 4 new Marvel tables for Pinball FX 2. I've also been playing WAAAAYY too much Forza 4. The AI suck as usual but the rivals stuff is too much fun.

A friend came over last night so I broke Gears of War 2 out for the first time (funny thing is I got Gears 3 on sale, so I need to get through 2 in the near future so I can get some Gears 3 action going on!). I love Gears of War, but it's amazing....I had forgotten just how slow Marcus moves unless you're sprinting around. I still love the stop and pop gameplay though.

that was a complaint with Gears 2. Gears 3 has the fast guys again.
It's hard to go back to Gears 1 after playing 2 and 3. Gears 2 is still a great play because it's a complete game with horde and some great maps. But all my Gears time is in 3 now. It just has everything. Some of the most amazing graphics. Great speed. Great action. Horde mode, beast mode, arcade mode, etc. 4 player co-op campaign! All the cool modifiers. Because of horde and beast modes, Gears is just so accessible to everyone, not just the hardcore gamers.

Going from a 27" SD to a bigger HDTV is like playing a game for the first time! Been playing Hydro Thunder Hurricane, finding all the packages (to unlock boat skins) and working my way through the challenges and gauntlet modes. Awesome sequel to HT! One difference to this game over the original is you can drive backwards up the river pretty easily, and you need to in order to grab some of the hidden HT packages. I wonder how well this download-only game did?

I've been playing Battlefield 3 pretty regularly, but I have also been switching up shmups. I really want to seriously take on a game, and I am not sure which one I want to do. I'm leaning towards Mushihimesama Futari 1.5, or Deathsmiles 2 X360 edition. I'm already almost at the final boss on one credit on Deathsmiles 2, so for extra challenge aspects, I think Mushi Futari will be my choice.
