LOL...Especially if you could trade your tickets in for prizes! If Tim made the game, we might be set!

A really good 2600 bowling could probably be done since you don't have a lot of things to display on the screen and nothing moves very far except the ball. You could use the missiles to draw the edges of the lanes so it wouldn't be blocky. I think the hardest part would be to get the pins to react realistically when hit.
A bowling using paddles might be cool. Maybe even a dual paddle control scheme like Marble Craze.

I have no idea about 2600 programming, but would this project be something that's really difficult? We've GOT to persuade someone to make this game!

You mean Skee-Ball, or RealSports Bowling?
Perhaps there could be a game variation in Bowling called Skee-Ball.
Just fantasizing here.

Where's 'Idea Revolutions' when you need them? (back in school already?)

RS Bowling, that'd defnitely be a modern game I'd shell out the money for.

Yeah,
I never even thought about getting a homebrew game ever,
But I would buy this one.

Hell yes!
I would definately buy Real Sports Bowling!
Making accurate pin physics would be damn near impossible on the 2600 so I wouldn't even worry about that.
Just make it look good and be fun to play.

Here's what I always hoped a Realsports Bowling would look like, with each player on each side, it would have been too cool.
I think that the graphics King Atari made may be to high res for the VCS.
But something like that can be done, I agree there. There is a max res you can get on an Atari based on how complex the playfield is, its all in the programming and how you handle memory and synch issues, basically.
You just need to compare say, Adventure with Solaris to see what clever coding can co.

Why never buy a homebrew? Some of the best games on the Atari 2600 now are homebrews.... can you say Thrust, Qb, Marble Craze anybody?

They're definitely too high rez for the 2600, I just made it up quick in paint. No, the game would be closer to Atari Freak's version. Hey, how about a Bowling game that looked similar to Atari Freak's, with the side-by-side alleys like mine? THAT would be sweet!

You could probably use the trick they did in Pitfall for the vines to draw the sides of the alley...
It may flicker a bit, but I think its workable.
But then I'm not a programmer.

What do you think? Done quickly on paint.

Just joking, But really, can any proggers wanna take a shot? I know it's not easy, And I'm not trying to be like idea revolutions where he said, (not direct quote) "I have a game idea, anyone programmers wanna make it for me?" But I think alpt of people would like it and it's a good idea.
Programmers, please don't be offended.
