Joe Siegler
I was looking through the atariprotos.com site at Tempest, and my wife walked in the room. She took a look at this screen: and said "What the hell is that? Atari underwear?" I lookd for a second and had a big laugh - she's absolutely right. The 2600 proto here really looks like a pair of underwear!
Tempest
Actually the original name of the game was Panty Raid, but Atari made Carla change it to Tempest. Don't tell anyone though, it's a secret! Tempest

ATARIPITBULL
I hope the game changes its underwear every day and it should try boxers once and a while to let the jewels breath.
AtariDude
This must be the equivalent of a Rorschach test for the Atari 2600. I don;t think that Dave Theurer had this idea in mind when he created Tempest.
Tempest
I don't think this board shape appears in the arcade version, maybe it's Carla that had the issues? Tempest
