Not an obscure name, but perhaps an obscure NES title? In any case, a topical choice with the recent sad death of Michael Crichton. Let's play Jurassic Park!

Post a score and let's get this thing rolling!

Please post any tips you may have - best tip gets 1 bonus point. No continues - only games played from the beginning count!

And if anyone has a link to the manual, please post it.

This week's competition ends in a week on Thursday (Nov 13th) at approximately evening sometime PST.

This game is pretty cool IMO and is worth a try - it has good graphics and sounds and controls nicely. It's a well-done game.

I haven't played it much, but a few things I've picked up:
-start by collecting (or shooting, for fewer points) all the dinosaur eggs. There is a counter on the left that tells you how many you still have to find. Once you collect the last egg a passcard will appear (where the last egg was). Grab that and go in one of the buildings. Grab all the eggs in the building to get another passcard, which you can use to go into the other building. Grab all the eggs in there to get another passcard, but take this one to the computer terminal in the same building to open the main gate. Go through that gate for a boss "fight" (more like boss avoidance). That's as far as I've gotten.
-This game does record high scores on a scoreboard, but you have to get at least 550 points to get on the board. So if you don't score that high, make sure to look at your score before your game is over because it will disappear forever. :|

1,130

I appreciate the hint's because I couldn't figure out what I was supposed to be doing. Those eggs don't exactly look egg shaped either. :P The game's fun once you get the hang of it. The dino's sure don't waste any time re-spawning though do they?

470 for me. No screenshot. This game is good overall, but man...a lot of cheap hits from tiny little dinosaurs creeping out from trees or walls. :|

True. And even jumping over the little buggers is difficult if not impossible in some cases.
