1090 - Hmm seems a really tough game but looks addictive... hopefully do better when I get it down to the proper Atari

It's nice to see new folks participate! It's also great to see some of the "old-timers" playing too!! So to each and every one of you... thank you for being the best part of the high score club.

Make that 2,255
Well I was just going to comment on what a gem this game was as I bought no end of "budget" games in my day that were not up to this standard... then I scored 2,726 and the chopper disapeared and the games made a noise and locked up... might be the .cas file or a power blip as the lights did go dim, i'll try the ATR file next time :|

I didn't but it could be a really great game... but... I have had two goes on level 1 where I have got to the end of the comlex (the screnery re-starts) but the chopper dissapears and the game locks up :(

Anyone else got an ATR of this? Either the ATR file is corrupt (it has a someone corruption "JJsquiggle" on the title screen so that may be a clue!) or the game has a bug or is not finished and that's all it does (may be that's why it was a budget release). I also put a few comments on here http://www.atariage....howtopic=134957 re the .cas image... will re-try the .cas one and see if it is the same....

Score 2,810.

hmm, I think I wish to nominate this game for the worst use of hardware collision detection.

I will register my score of 310 now (because I don't want to play this game again).

Yes it is a bit ropey but after a few goes you get used to it! Try shooting things from a distance... get low on the land based targets and use the bombs a lot ;)

Started and beat level 2, this time the end of level worked rather than locking...

ok, switched to the logitech dual shock (which is weird, cause im holding the left stick in my right hand and firing with the shoulder button)
I may have to fire up a real 800 and play so I can use a real controller.

Think you're gonna nead that real Atari hardware :D
5,375

I got past level 1 without a lock-up, you get a bonus for any fuel left... (then onto the next level).

I really like this game, yes it's hard but it really does have a challenge and the one more go incentive... especially when you are looking at getting maximum points. Think it's one of the best horizontal shoot em ups, may be Tail of Beta Lyrae still tops it for me...

Have fun

Hmmmm,

Same corruption in the .atr character set (Do I have to go get the 1010?)

Got the 800XL out, hooked to my tuner card, alas getting some frame lag from the card software,
May have to go fire up the old CRT TV!
At any rate:

Had to switch back to the emu, the lcd lag was too much, but the practice helped =D
Oh, finishing a level is VERY healthy for the score, the shooting ships look familiar, kinda like the ones in Arex
