Our new season will begin on Monday, January 5, 2009. In the meantime, you have the opportunity to earn up to 10 bonus points (5 games, 2 points each) for playing games that we haven't played this season. Scores need to be turned in by 11:30 pm EDT on Sunday, January 4, 2009, in order to be counted. You can play any 5 games we haven't played or ones in which you did not participate during the bi-weekly contests.

Sure... all you do is just play 5 different games and post the scores. It is similar to the way we do it now. You will receive 2 points for each game. There are no "places" on this one... just play a game you want to and that is pretty much it. Your actual score doesn't really matter.. you will get 2 points for each game (up to 5 games), regardless.

Game play and graphics are pretty much identical as the 2600 and Vic-20 versions I have.


Wizard of Wor: 21,400
Great game. I play this a lot on the 2600 and 5200 as well.


Megamania: 76,530
Same deal as with WoW above. It get's lot's of game time on the 2600 and 5200. It's a shame it didn't get ported to more platforms.


Laser Hawk: 20,780
It's great to find more shooters for the A8 that I didn't know existed.


Ollie's Follies: 3,200
Interesting game but frustrating on account of the collision detection and the fact that you can't jump straight up and down without taking a step forward. Very irritating when you're on one of those narrow ledges.

Played a couple that I had not seen before:
Gauntletak looks a nice game, will play this some more at some point 32,425
Monstrum Guys, if you've not played this one give it a go as it is quite good, a cross between Nibbler and Pacman... we didn't vote for it this time but may be it should go in again for next year?! 5,850

Just tried to play AE on the emulator as I've never seen it before and it looks good... downloaded the original Broederbund version, 2 disks from Atarimania but cannot see how to load disk A as it is a .atx file (side B is an ATR) can anyone help

Also tried the Homesoft conversion this runs but cannot see the graphics on the emulator, just mono/blocky. (score 7,200)
