Hi,
sounds like you didnt land and get the energy fillup (approx 1.15 left on the timer). Shoot all the time, touching anything drains your shields, if you have to crash pull right to speed through the gates. Make sure you shoot a big enough hole to get through. When you get to the end of the level keep away (stay left) from the 6502 chip! Your energy is then replenished. You get a little more shield after the end of level, I mean a LITTLE!
There is a timer but I've yet to run out, got to planet 10 today... may be on further levels you will need to scroll through faster to make it in time ?

Have fun!

Ho ho ho, land carefully on the top bit, it is kinda sticky so you can keep still once it has landed, best to get to the right hand side early so you can fully charge up.

Now... 49178

As of 10:58 CST Friday 58??? .. we'll say 58,000

I was blasting the heck out of one of the 6502 on a orange level, I had plenty of energy, and shields, but my game reset? Weird stuff.

Ahhh... from the manual

"Booby Traps!
* Beware of booby-trapped Detonator pins on Detonators! (6502)
- The Dante Dart loses Shield reserves for each booby-trapped pin it
strikes.
- Strike the same booby-trapped pin twice and the Dante Dart will be
destroyed.
- The position of the booby-trapped pins changes randomly from game
to game."

I made a YOUTUBE video of this game. Please check it out, and if you like it and the music I put to it, rate it well :D

That was fun to make, and I got to use music from a new album of one of my all time favorite groups, ASIA. But this is no ordinary album since this album features all the original artists who made Asia.

Yeh, it's been a good Christmas. :P

Poobah my friend, you might want to sit down if you aren't already. What I am about to tell you will hopefully be seen as cool to you as when I found out Atari fandom still existed back in 1999 (and I went out and collected what I could at that point.) :)

http://www.amarokpro...oupes_1170.html

Ok, Asia Then and Now * (which was the awesome "rebirth" of Asia back in the day when a five year absense was seen as the possible death of a Rock Group... ha!!) which followed the awesome Asia, Alpha, and Astra was followed by more albums, many awesome, all you can see on the site above.

Asia in Moscow in 1990/1991 was the last (as far as I know) to have lead singer John Wetton. This was a sad day for me, because I loved what he brought to the Asia sound. However, I have listened to and loved some of the work that the later people who formed Asia would do. As you know, Asia was always about taking great talent from multiple established groups and make some kicking music. And the people they got were awesome.

I have listened to Aqua in 1992... great guitar accoustic pieces used. Might have been one of the last with Steve Howe, great album. Loved Aura in 1994, Arena was good in 1996, and I have heard some of the bits of Silent Nation in 2004. I believe that Archiva 1 and 2 in 1996 may have had some pieces from the original Asia crew. I believe I had heard also some pieces from Axioms in 1999. Not sure about Aura in 2001.

One of the later bits had a cute song called "A.L.O." which stood for "Asiatic Light Orchestra" which was a spoof of the style of E.L.O. Just greatness.

But the point is, ASIA has been awesome pretty much all throughout, it is just sooooo cool to hear the original crew once again on Phoenix. And this album was only released within the last month or so.

* Even though Then and Now is listed as a compilation album it was a LOT of fun. I still think "Days Like These", "Summer Can't Last Too Long" were some of the most awesome song releases they've made. What is my favorite Asia Song? Probably "Hard On Me" from the Astra album.

Asia:
Saw them live back in 82 or 83 in Utica, NY!
"Days like these" is one of poobah's all-time favorite songs (even covered it 'back in the day' when we played out)

Next you'll be telling me that Saga and Kansas have new albums (wouldn't that be glorious?)

:) You're the second person to tell me that. Let me know what you think of it after you listen to it.
1st listen through, liked "never again", "sleeping giant" & "alibis" the best.
If you claimed this was a compilation of 'lost' tracks from 1983, I would have believed you. =P

That said, it is a little heavy on the slower ballady tracks. It's missing the 2 or 3 really uptempo tracks that they usually have (a la "heat of the moment" & "cutting it fine" from Asia) . A couple are almost there ("shadow of a doubt" has its moments). The album finished kinda flat for me, but that's just one go 'round too, I find albums tend to grow on me after a few listens.

Only $6 and change after $3 credit at amazon, btw, certainly worth it.

earlier today:
me: "Hey B, did you know Asia has a new album out?"
b: "They're still alive???"
