[White Knight]

As lots of you guys know, I was the editor of Zap! newsletter in the early 90's, a fanzine dedicated to the classics. Well, to make a long story short, it's now online. The main site is not ready, but the forums are all set up and running. Not everything is 100%, but in the coming days everything will come together more cleanly. Check them out, it's an all-gaming forum board, that leans HEAVILY classic. I'm not in competition with anyone, I'm just out there to have a little fun and hopefully gather people together so we can all learn a little and share our gaming experiences. Is anyone here good at making logos? The one I'm using for my board really sucks, and is about 13 years old.

Thanks, but is there any way you could make the black transparent? I can make a .gif transparent, but I don't know how without losing the animation.

Avatars are big maybe just used to AtariAge with limited size and no big billboard signatures

no biggie With Adblock i can just blockout those images

Great, looking forward to your posts. I have avatars set rather large because we're small for now. If it grows I'll have to shrink them to save bandwidth.

One part of my site I worked hard on was my smilies. I made sure to only add the best emoticons, and have tons of video game ones.

Bumping and old thread. Much has been done to the forums since that OP. Many more posts and users, a much better look (no more black background, I took advise to axe it), and an arcade room with over 300 games. Please check it it!

This is kind of a silly question, but is there any particular reason that you have Odin's cross in place of the letters O on that banner? I just signed up for your forums and made some posts, and am now starting to think that perhaps it is not the place for me...

I paid a guy $20 to make the banner. I just told him what characters to put in, and he did the fonts and the rest on his own. Why would a cross in a letter bother you to the point where it's not the place for you? It's nothing religious. I don't care what religion you are, as long as you like gaming, I promise.

My take is the guy who did (he's not a gamer at all) did it because it looks like crosshairs of a target. Lots of targets /shooting in gaming, so I assume he meant that when he did it.

I know someone that has a Halcyon for sale, well, if you don't mind dealing with my firebreathing ex wife that is. She got it in the divorce (the court valued it at $3000 so I ended up giving her that to keep my truck at the time, I am still wondering if I made the right choice on that one).
