I have just give Jagulator a quick whirl, and am not having much luck, I can get the object test demo to run, and a colour test demo.. but nothing else!

be it .bin or .jag

Seems to just report "ERROR: Rom is either not supported or not a valid Atari Jaguar ROM". I am using 1.5.1 of Jagulator. Not found any game roms yet , perhaps I'll have more luck with them. Any help would be appreciated tho.

so far the files that are listed in d/l section on the jagulator site
can be used .
I also have the emulator unfornately I am running under windows xp
and it seems that jagulator crashs under win xp.

For what it's worth, I've had the same experience as you guys, I've just been able to run a few of the demos. I haven't been to the site recently since they haven't updated in about 9 months but IIRC the only game rom that would work with 1.5.1 was Flip Out, no other game could run on it. I couldn't get it to work though and I'm also waiting for a new version to test out my Atari Karts rom :)

I'm pretty sure the author said he got 'Flashback' to work on the latest version not Flip Out like I said before. But looking at the webpage with screenshots that's in version 1.5.2 which he never publicly released.

Wasn't it that they had the Flashback intro only working?, when I last visited, im sure the emulator couldnt get past the title screen after the short intro movie had finished.

You're probably right but that intro screen recognition is usually a good first step towards emulation 8)

That's pretty impressive since BattleSphere contains a screenshot code which allows you to download a perfect screen capture into a program such as Photoshop!

The last I heard about Jagulator, which was a loooong time ago, it only emulated some of the processors, and not completely, thus any game that tried to use the chips of commands that wernt supported wouldnt run, I dont know how its progressing but I would guess most intro sequences are done largely on the 68k since they dont require much power, and 68k emu's have been arround forever, so that part is probably finished, the custom chips probably arnt.
