http://www.angelfire.../freak/ambient/Clint Thompson sends along word that he has launched a website for his new company Ambient Distortions Productions Studio. Ambient Productions plans on releasing games that were started but never released for systems such as the Sega Dreamcast and Atari Jaguar. Their first project is Black Ice/White Noise, an unreleased game for the Atari Jaguar to which they have obtained the rights to produce. This game will be made available in its current state, but with completed packaging, and is expected to be available this fall. Please visit the Ambient Distortions website for more information.

This leaves me with one question:

How "finished" is Black Ice/White Noise? Is it at least playable? Are we talking basically complete, just not released... or are we talking 15% progress here?

I guess that's more than one question...

It's 65% complete and in Alpha stage.

It's playable enough to run around in the world and explore. There's a pretty decent manual available with a basic map. And there's enough stuff in there to give you an interesting time playing and explore the game.

An interesting game concept that was being worked at Atari.

Nice thing to add to your game collection. And it does boot with Protector SE and B&C boot bypass!

It also boots with Battlesphere GOLD. :) The game is quite fun, even in the alpha stage. It's amazing to think how good this game could have been if it was completed. Clint is also working on a number of very unique projects that should be exciting for the entire Atari community!
