Please on which label is printed your serial number? white label or silver label?

Seems like the PSP would be the better choice because of the screen ratio and size. Afterall, an emulator for the DS would only be able to use 1 out of the 2 screens anyway.

Yeah, that looks like my Lynx also. Unfortunately, it was the early days of LCD. It's night and day compared to modern screens, so you'll automatically think it's defective.

I am pretty happy with it. It looks great in my collection and I am having fun playing with it. The screen doesn't bug me much once get used to it and some games look better than others. The vertical streaking is actually helpful on the T-Tris game I got today - they help show where the blocks are going to fall!

Still bugs me a bit that the GameGear I bought has a better screen (no streaks). It bugs me that Sega had a better quality product back then. I do like the Atari games better. Sega made PacMan a scrolling screen and that frustrates the heck out of me.

I found the same thing when playing T-Tris....LOL.

I hate the scrolling PacMan also...I know exactly what you mean. I have a Ms. PacMan for the Sega Genesis that also does the scrolling, and it collects dust.

All Lynx's (well at least all of mine) have the white label for the serial number...that's normal.

Usually lynx have serial on white label starting with Y, but me and my friends found many Lynx with serial starting with B on a silver sticker. Bought them from Telegames, 16-32 System, and one received from GoAtari (Usa).

I have 2 LYNX II. One purchased new and the other from ebay, used and defective but I've restored to like new condition. The one I purchased new was great for a year and then those annoying vertical lines (Batman), color bleeding, and ghosting (transporter looking effect) started to become more pronounced. It progressively worsened to the point it made characters and hazards in a game unplayable. I found out about BestElectronics and purchased a new LCD, replaced it, and now it's as good as the first day I played it. I was first advised by BestElectronics to clean the contacts on the ribbon cable but there was no change. All the LYNX systems that I have played with over the years, both models, there is always some bit of the effects I mentioned above but to a much lesser degree. The LYNX II I mentioned above that I rebuilt appears to be getting worse. So it may need to be replaced soon. I think this time I'm going to purchase a couple to have a few on hand. I understand this is a primitive LCD, but does anyone know what it is that's causing this? Is playing it with low batteries possibly damaging to the LCD over time? Or is this just something that naturally happens over time with this type of older LCD?
