Hello everyone

Just finished updating my Fairchild Web Pages with a new page containing pictures
of all the Channel F Proto's I know exist. For the time being the page can only be
accessed using the following link

Fairchild Channel F Proto page

The reason it can only be found through the above link is I will be updating with another page containing scans and lists of
all the Videocart ASSEMBLY DATE's found printed on the inside of the cart covers and on the PCB's (over 150 carts)
when I finish that page I will add the links to both pages throughout the site so they can be accessed from within the web
site

Here is a page scan of what the update will look like (wont look exactly like this as this is my Excel data base version)
anyway it should give a very good idea of when the Videocarts were being produced and the dates each were released

Posted Image

Hope this will be of interest to a some of you

Neat!

Too bad there are not more screenshots. I'd love to see some of those in action.

I do have copies of the ROM's for most of them but I cant seem to figure out the emulator,
if I can get it working I will add screen shots. maybe I should include the ROM's on the page
as well. I will need to figure out where I found them and ask permission

Are you using MESS? Channel F emulation works fine for me with it.

Hm... did you download the latest version (0.130b) ? You can get it here.
You don't have to install it, just unzip it. There's a helpfile included, it's called "mess.chm".

Thats very cool, I would love to have some Channel F protos! I see those protos now, I was only looking at the picture in your post before.

Yes I see how that can be confusing, I think I will remove that page scan as it does not have anything to do with the proto's,
I only added it to show what my next update will be (list of videocart date codes found in the videocarts)

EDIT Cant edit my first post ?

Indeed having a few Channel F Proto's is very cool only took me like two years to finally work them loose from the original buyer/finder :) also included two Evaluation carts and a few other early carts. Its always a long time between finds for the
Channel F so I have to make the most out of it when it happens, making the web page and sharing it here is a big part of it :)

Wow, Channel F protos. Those have got to be crazy rare, right up there with the Aquarius protos Ianoid has.

I look forward to reading more about them. It's not often you see protos for obscure systems.

Its probably still in your cache but I am sure it can not be enlarged and once your cache is cleared or the
page is refreshed it should not show up at all.

Thanks again

I hate your webpage. It makes me want to buy a Channel F. Nothing should ever make someone want to buy a Channel F. :)

For some reason the links on your site don't all work when you use the link in your first post (like if you click "1 through 5" on the page it brings up, you get an error, which doesn't seem to happen on your other pages).

Ha! I was thinking the same thing. I don't even know if my Channel F works, I think I plugged it in once and never touched it again. Oddly I have a pretty decent sized Channel F collection (only missing two or three games).

Yes I noticed that after I posted the link in the first post, I can't fix it now or the link will go dead and updating
the first post is not allowed

When I do the final update with the coming new page (date codes) it will be fixed, I will contact Alex at that
time and ask for permission to edit the first post

Thanks for the heads up

Here is a link to the web site with working links, just click on the "Yellow boarder" links at the top to move around
BTW The proto page is not linked from within these pages Yet so you will need to use the link in the first post to
get to that page for now

Full Web site LINK (less proto page) use first post link for ProtoPage

Let me guess

Hangman #18
Checkers #19
Casino Poker #25

maybe

Video Whizball #20

These seem to have been produced in less numbers then the rest for some reason

Glad to hear the little seeds of interest I have planted are starting to grow

They should be shown within the first post web page link, Maybe you will need to
refreash the page once you open it up, sometimes your cache will hold the old page
until you refreash it. LMK
