Important Note: This weeks competition is over and no further scores will be accepted.

Brush off your ace piloting skills because you're about to take off on a hair-raising adventure: air surveillance of unfriendly territory. This means a 10,000-mile obstacle course through ever-changing terrain...over craggy mountain tops, around tall city buildings, through long jagged tunnels. And that isn't all! The course is just rigged with chopper-stopping weapons like igniting rockets, heavy ground artillery, flying fireballs, and falling mines.

Every 1,000 miles of terrain brings ever-increasing challenges and ever-certain...danger. But a handsome payoff lies at the end for anyone who's got what it takes.

Hints and Tips
The Manual
As always, you really should read the manual. In case you don't have the manual, AtariAge has a typed copy available online. Unfortunately, it doesn't provide any specific hints.
vjames
Since the bombs/missiles disappear if you shoot early it is helpful to fly as low as possible and keep shooting and you'll pick up more ground targets. Also, with the continue function... I may try to die and end the game right before the 10th level and then leave the 10th intact (with the 5000 bonus), that would boost my score by another 5000 (plus whatever I got on the 10th level).

This one's a lot of work on the keyboard and the jerky scrolling is rough to deal with too (maybe better since I worked last night and haven't slept yet...).

Parker Brothers did a pretty good job as usual with their arcade ports for the 2600.

I have to admit that I didn't play this game for too long because I don't like it very much.

I like this game more than Vanguard. The manual speaks about a "pause-function" (Color/B/W-switch), but this doesn't work with my
(PAL) cartridge. Is there a pause-mode in the NTSC-version?

I picked this game due to my abyssmal showing at the last NWCGE Atari Championships. Hadn't ever played this one before and it knocked me out of the tourney. I've got some practice in now.

Nice score toymailman... I got up to level 9 and died (on purpose), ending the game and using the continue function. I got through levels 9 and 10 with all my lives intact so I thought I'd be ready to really get a great score. Problem is I never made it past level 2. I know the potential is there to add about 9k to my previous score, but I think I'll concede defeat!

It took me forever to figure out that I got more fuel by SHOOTING the blue gas tanks. Too bad that's not how it works at the gas station down the street.
