StoneAgeGamer
PURCHASE HERE or send me a PM to order! What is Smartboy? Smartboy Cart is a great development system for Gameboy. You can use it for developing software for any Gameboy or Gameboy Color compatible device or system. The Smartboy system allows you to burn Gameboy roms to the Smartboy cart to play on your Gameboy, Gameboy Pocket, Gameboy Color, Super Gameboy, and Gameboy Advance*! What does Smartboy come with? The Smartboy comes with one 32M Smartboy Cart, the Smartboy Burner (allows you to burn roms to your Smartboy Cart), USB cable (to connect burner to your PC), and Smartboy software (used to burn and read Smartboy cart). What language do I program games in? Smartboy does not come with its own Gameboy programming language or IDE. To learn how to program and compile your own ROMs please check out GameBoy Programming For Beginners. What is LSDJ? LSDJ stands for Little Sound DJ. The basic idea is to transform a plain Game Boy/Game Boy Color into a full-fledged music workstation. For more information on LSDJ please check out the official site. Can the Smartboy burn copyrighted ROMs? Yes it can, however it is illegal to do so. SMB Team and Stone Age Gamer do not promote, endorse, or support anyone who uses illegal software. Please purchase any copyrighted games legally. The main purpose of Smartboy is to allow development and backing-up of Gameboy and Gameboy Color games. Does Stone Age Gamer provide technical support for this product? No. Technical support is provided my SMB Team. Can you load multiple games on one cart and select from a menu? Not as this time. However SMB Team is working on software to allow this. * Smartboy does not burn GBA carts. However, it does burn Gameboy and Gameboy Color games that are compatible with GBA systems that can play these carts. BigO
If I were presently doing any development for Gameboy, I'd be all over this. It's just beyond my threshold of pain, price-wise, for something that will sit on a shelf to be used eventually. Not that it's not a fair price, I just know how I procrastinate on my projects.
