Backstory: After a little discussion, a request was made to consolidate all free offers into one post. Instead of having the list in the middle of this FANTASTIC thread which was started by therealred5, Dryfter decided to consolidate and move it into one post. ClassicGMR continued it in this thread.

I have decided to give the concept a fresh start. None of the items from the previous thread are being carried over. If you have previously offered items and those items are still available, I would like to encourage you to re-post them in this new thread.

I have updated the "guidelines" to be a bit more organized. They are essentially the same:

To list an item:
  • Post items you have available in this thread.
  • Please be descriptive as to what you're offering: Title - What's included (box, manual, overlays, etc) - Condition - System.
  • If something is in bad condition... say that it's in bad condition. Post pictures if the damage is beyond words.
  • When you post an item the main list will be updated.
To Claim an item:
  • Send a PM to the person offering the item, saying what you would like to claim.
  • Work out any shipping with the "offerer" (through PMs please)
  • It is recommended that you offer something to the list for someone else to claim, if you have not already. Try to post something that is at least similar in value to what you have claimed.
When an item you listed is claimed:
  • Send a PM to the person claiming the item to work out a shipping arrangement (through PMs please).
  • Post to this thread saying what has been claimed and I will update the list.

Disclaimer. I'm just the list updater, I do not want to act as a middle man for deals. Please contact the "giver" directly when interested in an item as well as posting here!

The list:

* - Shipping is to be paid by the person claiming the item.
** - Shipping is to be paid by personal check or money order by the person claiming the item.

As usual, all shipping arrangements are to be discussed via PM between the person giving the item and the person claiming the item.

Thanks!

Just wanted to say I appreciate this thread, and the people adding to. I also want to thank the people adding broken stuff, there are plenty of tech savvy guys here who can fix things, and there are also quite a few cool things you can make with non/semi functioning electronics.

Thanks guys! :D

This thread was just too good to let die! But, it's gonna take a whole lot more than just me to keep it going. I'm glad to see that there has been some new activity... definitely a good sign!

Sorry to take so long to get back to this new thread. I currently have the following up for grabs:

Atari 2600 4-switch "woody": console works perfectly, but knob on game select switch is broken off

Buyer pays shipping.

I will update this post as I get more items for the list. I should have some more stuff to post soon.

Thanks to aftermac for reviving this post yet another time. :D

Not a bad deal for someone that needs a 2600! I just missed out on a free 5200 in the 3rd Edition...

The "**" note in the post should be "check or money order" - not check exclusively as it currently states...
