Can you, or anyone else for that matter, tell me the significance of all of the "cookie" references I see on various message boards these days? I'm definitely not up on all that is currently "hip, cool or in" any more and have not in quite some time. :P

I thought it was just an 80s colloquialism, you'd do something small, that you thought was big, mention it to someone and they'd say "so, what do you want, a cookie?"
Sorta ripping on you for bragging about something insignificant.
At least that's how it worked in upstate new york when i was younger. ;)

I just assumed it was some new fad term the kids are using today, like spelling things wrong on purpose and the like.
