I've tried both Atari800Win 4.0 and 4.1 and neither display properly in Windows 7 (I thought it was a Vista problem, too). The colors are "inverted" or just wrong no matter the settings.

Is this a known bug or do I have a bad setting somewhere? Works fine in XP...

Dunno about Atari800Win but I'm running Atari800 (http://atari800.sourceforge.net/) just fine in Windows 7 - it's still being updated too (last update was March 2009) which makes it a better fit for me than Atari800Win...

Weird. No problems with version 4.0 on Windows 7 here.

I have had config problems with Atari800win in the past, on XP or 2000 (can't remember which), and my solution back then was to trash the entire folder and install a fresh copy.

I did notice that under the View menu, there's an option for Palette. You're able to browse to the Atari800Win folder in which there are several palette files. Not sure what if that's your culprit, and I didn't try these in case I messed up my own install, but you've got nothing to lose by trying .;)

Got a new Win7 pc and was just playing around with the emus a bit. On mine, what happens with Atari800Win is that the colors look okay if you run in windowed mode, but get all messed up if you enter full screen mode. I've also found via trial and error, that if you right-click on the atari800win.exe file, select the compatibility tab, set it to emulate win xp sp2, and then check ALL of the check boxes below (256 colors, 640x480 mode, disable desktop, etc), it will then run in full screen mode with correct colors as long as the emu was in full screen mode the last time you quit out. (if you start out in windowed mode, you may have to enter full screen mode in the emu, then click the mouse pointer near the top edge to make the menus appear, quit out and then relaunch it.....at which point it should launch in full screen mode and work fine.)
