amiman99
Hi, I got a 1050 disk drive w/o power supply, can someone tell me which p/s I need. Voltage, Amp, AC or DC? Can I use p/s from 1010 Tape Drive? Thanx

Rybags
1010 PSU = no. PSUs for the other machines you've listed = unsure. All are 9V AC but the Amps rating on the PSUs can vary. My 400's supply is only rated at 2 Amps but my 1050 supply says 4.5 Amps. So, unsure on that one.
Crimefighter
I could have sworn Atari's used the same power supplies for the computer and the peripherals - and yes the power supply for the 1010 works on the 1050. http://www.ecrater.com/product.php?pid=1424533
Atari Smeghead
I found this in FAQ: 9 VAC 31 VA 3.4 A Max:50W Power Adaptor Atari#C017945(unit)/CA017964(box) http://www.computerhistory.org/collections...ssion/102688424 400,800,810,822,850,1200XL,1010,1020,1050,XF551 Can any one check on their Power supply? I can promise you that the power supply for the 1050 is identical to 400/800/810/850/1050/1020. I have used them for all of those devices. I grabbed my C017945 PS and yes, what you wrote above for the power output is correct. I have no history with the others mentioned above, , but according to B&C's website, PS is interchangable with XF551/1200XL too. You can buy a PS from B&C for $9.95, if you need one. http://www.myatari.com/atarixlh.txt - about halfway down the page. It also shows what PSs go with what machine, as well. amiman99
Thanx, I will try it as soon as I find a disk for it.
Bryan
My 1010 came with a tiny wall-wart supply that wouldn't power a 1050. In the US, I know Atari shipped a couple different sized AC bricks. The smaller one was okay for the computers, but the larger one was recommended for the drives.
amiman99
It worked fine, the light came on, but I don't have dos disk to try it. I think I will get SIO2PC to copy some disks now.
