For anyone who doesn't know, I lost my home to a flood in May 2010.
This project is still happening, but was delayed due to many struggles.

August 7th 2011. The one major part still needed are the Longhorn video mods.
Longhorn has been talking to me consistently since May of this year. While I
am still waiting on the boards, he assures me that they will be coming soon.

September 25th 2011. Still waiting on Longhorn.

October 24th 2011. I'm proud of Longhorn, he has been updating me without being asked lately.
Still waiting on those video mods, but he assures me that the boards were ordered, made, and sent to him.

November 2011. The boards were delivered by Longhorn, but devoid of any parts. He said he forgot (okay?) and that he would mail them to me the next time he orders from Mouser.

January 2012. Still no parts from Longhorn.

January 2012. Special Update Message: THIS PROJECT IS STILL VERY MUCH ALIVE.
Yes, I know has been slow. I'm not happy about it and neither are many others. This is understood. If I had cash sitting around in piles I wouldn't hesitate for a moment to refund those who ask (or demand) but that just isn't possible reality. The money buyers put towards this project has all been spent on parts for this project. I've moved into a new home a little over a year ago. Most months I don't have much for extra funds. The home wasn't furnished. It has taken much longer to establish myself than expected. Being optimistic and literally doing my best, I've still gotten things done on this project despite the setbacks. For those that have waited patiently, thank you for your faith. It is humbling. Some of you are however very upset. Upset about the amount of time, something that is consistently pointed out to me on a weekly basis, as if I don't know. You say things like "it will never happen" or "there is no end it sight." I get it, I agree with the frustration, BUT it isn't helping expedite this. When you see me selling other stuff or making other items, I've got a few logical news flashes for those who would become upset: A) I have to pay my bills still, even with a late ongoing project that isn't complete. B) the money you put in to this project bought hardware - A TON of it. Your money is locked in to this project. C) apprising me of the dire situation, as if I don't know, does nothing for encouraging motivation, nor does it change the situation. In fact it fosters just the opposite. Rest assured I'm embarrassed and upset about the delays. I'm very good at beating myself up over this situation, without extra weekly help from a few of you.

As I see it, since refunds are not an option, there are three very good options still available.

1) Patiently wait. It will pay off, this will be completed.
2) Sell off your share and transfer your spot to another person.
3) You are welcome to take hardware from this project worth the amount you paid in.

I apologize if this posting creates any animosity, but those are the facts.

Supporting my other sales, and business on Atari Age will only further this project. Once my bills are covered each month, if I have anything extra I dump more money AND time in to this project. While you are not required to do so, encouragement goes allot farther to expedite this project, than all the negativity.

Thanks for reading. Here are some pics.

THOUSANDS of dollars have been spent on items for this project.
I've got more advantage sticks, dye, and EL tech in my shed (not shown).

end of March 2012 / Early April 2012 Most of March was lousy due to health issues. I've been getting back to soldering work during this past week with the ability breathe freely again. Couldn't go to MGC. Still no parts from Parker (Longhorn) for the video mods, all though he was looking for me at MGC, so maybe he has them to give? Sending a message now.

I think it's bad news for the English game)
(We're not creative enough and we're not positive enough)

It's coming home, it's coming home, it's coming,
Football's coming home

(we'll go on getting bad results)

It's coming home, it's coming home, it's coming,
Football's coming home
It's coming home, it's coming home, it's coming,
Football's coming home
It's coming home, it's coming home, it's coming,
Football's coming home

Everyone seems to know the score, they've seen it all before
They just know, they're so sure
That England's gonna throw it away, gonna blow it away
But I know they can play,
'Cause I remember

Three lions on a shirt
Jules Rimet still gleaming
Thirty years of hurt
Never stopped me dreaming

So many jokes, so many sneers
But all those 'oh so near's
Wear you down, through the years
But I still see that tackle by Moore
And when Lineker scored, Bobby belting the ball
And all because of

Three lions on a shirt
Jules Rimet still gleaming
Thirty years of hurt
Never stopped me dreaming

(England have done it! In the last minute of extra time!)
(What a save, what now)
(Good old England, England that couldn't play football)
(England have got it in the bag)

I know that was then, but it could be again..

It's coming home, it's coming home, it's coming,
Footballs coming home
It's coming home, it's coming home, it's coming,
Footballs coming home

(England have done it)

It's coming home, it's coming home, it's coming,
Footballs coming home
It's coming home, it's coming home, it's coming,
Footballs coming home *REPEATED IN BACKGROUND*

Three lions on a shirt
Jules Rimet still gleaming
Thirty years of hurt
Never stopped me dreaming

Three lions on a shirt
Jules Rimet still gleaming
Thirty years of hurt
Never stopped me dreaming

Three lions on a shirt
Jules Rimet still gleaming
Thirty years of hurt
Never stopped me dreaming

I keep hoping for an Atari 2600 clone made with new parts, but a new Atari 7800 clone would be better than nothing. Playing Atari 2600 games on an Atari 7800 never feels quite right.

It's either a hardware add on (ala supercharger/harmony/chimera etc) or Ax is working with CV on something (perhaps a rejigged 7800 or something)

I doubt it is laserdisk for the 7800's expansion port. The problem is most models of the Atari 7800 don't have an expansion port including mine besides making homebrew games for it.

The only way a Laser disk player would be useful for homebrew purposes is if the add-on has more ram, rom, better sound, and the Laser Disc format can be used for developing non fmv games.

Several people are on the right path... it isn't as elaborate as a few of those suggestions though it would be cool if it were. This is a 25th Anniversary commemoration I'll say that... there will be few available, and they will be very special.
