I recently picked up a Gamecube controller and memory card for my Wii. I had a Cube back in the day but was disillusioned by the lack of software and early death of the platform... anyway, my main reason for getting into Gamecube again, was to finish a game I started on the PS2 called Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance. I really love this game. The Gamecube version is slightly better looking, especially with my new component cables on the Wii.
That's great but I did a quick search of the net and none of the other games based on this engine made it to the cube (Bards Tale, Norrath and the sci-fi one I never found on the ps2 i surely not avail on the cube)... this is why I switched allegiance to the PS2 to begin with,so my question is: are there any new games like this coming out for Wii, PS3 or 360? I can't be the only one who loves these action rpgs!!! I only have a Wii at the moment, but I after playing some of the new Batman game this past week on the PS3, I am seriously feeling left out with Nintendo's console, so I plan on getting another eventually...
Anyone else love these games? Have any suggestions? Even PC games like this would be nice, even older games on the PC would be welcomed suggestions. I am beginning to think I should hone my prograamming skills and get off my butt and try to make one myself!!

Haha...these are called Diablo clones by many people.
The PS2 or Xbox are the best systems to play these games but I have to go with the PS2 since the Xbox does not have the Champions games. Although Baldurs Gate 1 and 2 looks much better on the Xbox.
Here's a list of what I can think of, I will not mention Nintendo consoles:
Baldurs Gate I PS2/XBOX
Baldurs Gate II PS2/XBOX
Demon Stone PS2/XBOX
X-Men legends PS2/XBOX
X-Men legends 2 PS2/XBOX
Gauntlet PS2/XBOX (this game sucks)
Fallot Brotherhood of Steel PS2/XBOX
Champions of Norrath I PS2
Champions of Norrath II PS2
D&D Heroes Xbox (not that great)
Marvel Ultimate Alliance Xbox360/PS3
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 Xbox360/PS3
Untold Legends PS3 (this game sucks)
PSP
Untold Legends 1 and 2
Dungeon Siege
PC
Diablo
Diablo II
Titans Quest
DarkStone (PC and PS1)
Neverwinter Nights (this is more of an "RPG" game)
Dungeon Seige (this is more of an "RPG" game)
There's a whole lot more out there but you get the idea. I think Alien Syndrome was a dumb kind of Diablo game.

On the Wii...
Marvel: Ultimate Alliance
Spectrobes: Origins
Not sure of any others...?
Gamecube:
X-Men Legends
X-Men Legends II
Summoner: A Goddess Reborn (appears to be a sort-of port of the PS2's Summoner 2)
Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles
EDIT: Just remembered, the Lord of the Rings games are also in that genre:
The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers
The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King
Also, Gauntlet Dark Legacy might be similar.

Its on the PS2 but Bard's Tale was built with the same engine and was an awesome game!

MMM... the 360 and PS3 have 'Dragon Age origins' coming. It's the spiritual successor to Baldur's Gate.

Justice League Heroes....forgot about that. That was pretty good although I wish you could have picked characters from the start.

The Phantasy Star Online games have many similarities with the Diablo type games (i.e random dungeon drops.areas etc). Much more fun, generally, too.

Sacred 2 for the 360 and PS3 is the closest I've seen.
<edit>
It's also available for the PC and you might find the old Sacred Gold for the PC at WalMart for $10.
