Ever notice how the Dedicated Systems forum is full of systems that really aren't that dedicated? Many listed here aren't limited to one game or even one system, like LS650's latest acquisition that plays all kinds of games through emulation. Just something weird I've noticed. Carry on!

I've wondered about that myself every now and then. Isn't a device that can have games from a multitude of different hardware loaded onto it from external sources the exact opposite of a dedicated system? It seems like it would make more sense to file those under the "Classic Gaming General" category instead. But hey, the more, the merrier? Maybe?

I'm also puzzled by the occasional question related to arcade machines. Sure, they're dedicated systems, but there is an actual "Arcade Coin-Ops" category. Those questions would probably get a lot more relevant foot traffic there.

Of course, there is the fact that this "Dedicated Systems" category is actually under "Atari Systems," so all of our discussion of non-Atari products in here is technically outside the scope of the category. I won't tell if you won't!

I guess there's only so much you can say about "Touch Me."
