G'day All.

I got a technical question in relating to the colour turn dials to adjust the colour Hue on the 2600 JR. I bought another PAL 2600 JR console on ebay that came on Friday. Just Yesterday when I try to adjust the HUE to get the colour to look right on the colour turning dial. Unfortunately it snapped off when I tried to turn it by putting a small flathead screwdriver through the little hole from the bottom of my 2600 JR console.

Is it possible that I could unsolder that dial from another 2600 JR console I got that doesn't work and solder that to the console I got working? or do I need to search online to buy a second hand colour turning dial?

Thanks,
Josh

If they're both the same model then the parts are probably interchangeable.

The adjustment knob would be a potentiometer (variable resistor). If you knew the range of the pot then you could replace it with anything that has similar specs.

Gidday gdement.
Thanks heaps, I've unsoldered that adjustment knob off the old 2600 JR that didn't work and soldered it to the other 2600 JR that works. It worked like a charm and the colours are now showing again. Posted Image

Cheers heaps,
Josh
