+SpiceWare
Obviously the top of the case is different but is the bottom different as well, or can the bottom of a light sixer be used to replace a broken bottom of a 4-switch Atari? Prodos8
Obviously the top of the case is different but is the bottom different as well, or can the bottom of a light sixer be used to replace a broken bottom of a 4-switch Atari? Yes, the light 6-switch case will fit, in fact the whole case will if you exchange the switch bezel. You will have unused holes on the bottom part, however. Early four-switch units have a light six bottom with a heavy plastic sticker that covers those unused holes. +SpiceWare
Thanks! I've only got 6 switch cases and somebody in town needs a replacement bottom for a 4 switch.
+SpiceWare
Update The bottom of the 6 switch was too big to work with the top of a 4 switch.
Prodos8
Update The bottom of the 6 switch was too big to work with the top of a 4 switch. Hmmm...I've never observed any difference it the size of the bottom part from my experience. In fact I have a 4-switch with a 6-switch bottom that Atari put a thick black sticker on to cover the unused holes. Do you have pics?
