Hello AA.

I was told this was the place to post questions about Atari games, so here I am. I’ve held onto a grocery bag full of games that I’ve had since I was a child. I recently decided that it might be time to try and sell them. I listed the entire lot on eBay and got bombarded with comments/questions about the following games. I was hoping you could tell me exactly what I’ve got here and a possible value. Any help you can offer is most appreciated.

The following are black Activision cartridges with a magenta color sticker that covers 3/4 of the cartridge and a typewriten label:
- Space Shuttle A Journey Into Space TM AZ-033 © 1983, Activision, Inc.
- Robot Tank TM AZ-028 © 1983 Activision, Inc. Also contains a sticker that says Nelson-Heintz Associates 189 Van Rensselaer St. Buffalo, N.Y. 14210 Phone 716 853-2202
- Pressure Cooker TM AZ-032 © 1983 Activision ®, Inc. Also has the name "Brendan" written on it.
- H.E.R.O. TM AZ-036 © 1983 Activision, Inc.
- Crackpots TM Prototype S2 AX-029 © 1983 Activision ®, Inc.
- Frostbite TM AX-031 Eprom © 1983 Activision ®, Inc.

The following is a black Activision cartridge with a typewriten label:
- Private Eye TM AG-034 © 1984 Activision, Inc. Also contains a sticker that says Nelson-Heintz Associates 189 Van Rensselaer St. Buffalo, N.Y. 14210 Phone 716 853-2202

Thanks!!!

(I'm having trouble attaching pictures)

Do you mean to tell if they are the same as the release version or earlier revisions? You would need to dump the ROMs and compare them to the final version to do that.

You would probably want to find someone near you who could dump them for you. Or just sell them to Wonder007.

They're real Activision protos but as Mitch said, you really can't tell much without dumping them (unless the changes are fairly obvious). It's been my experience that 99% of all Activision protos are the same as the final version, but that doesn't mean these will be. For what ever reason Activision kept a really tight rein on their Work In Progress and Beta cartridges.
