Approx how many arcade comps were released for the ps2? I can count:

Namco 50th
Capcom classics
SNK Arcade
Midway 1,2,3

Anyone think of any others?

I think Tecmo was a Xbox only title.

Intellivision Lives
Capcom Classics Vol. 2

I think half of my PS2 collection consists of arcade comps. I skipped the Atari Anthology (since that would be overkill in my case) and SNK fighter anthologies but I think I have everything else.

The list includes:

Atari Anthology
Capcom Classics Collection (Vol. 1,2)
Midway Arcade Treasures (Vol. 1, 2, 3)
Namco Museum
Sega Classics Collection
SNK Arcade Classics (Vol. 1)
Taito Legends (Vol. 1, 2)

There are also two versions of the Pinball Hall of Fame Collection (Gottlieb and Williams).

There are a few odd-ball titles like the Mortal Kombat collection (MK1 and other stuff) and, as noted, some SNK fighting game collections.

I have compiled a list of titles in each collection

I suppose technically Gradius III & IV could be considered one as well, to an extent. Also, the Sega Genesis collection has the Genesis ports of arcade games, as well as unlockable early-'80s Sega arcade titles.

I think MK1 was only available in the Limited Edition Mortal Kombat: Deception bundle. MK 2 and 3 were both on Midway Arcade Treasures 2.

..I was disappointed that SPACE DUNGEON wasn't included in either TAITO collection, but it's included in the PSP version...

...I guess we can add ACTIVISION ANTHOLOGY to the list...

I still cannot find the SNK collection anywhere in brick & mortar retailers. Did they only make 400 copies of it or something? You would think with Xbox Live Arcade, PSN & Virtual Console releases, it.ohhh wait..

Probably just depends on the area you're in. There's quite a few floating around my local game stores. Just check eBay though, you can probably pick them up cheaper there. Also, if you have a Wii, I may recommend just buying it on that. The PS2 emulation is just OK. Some of the games don't run at their full frame rates (the main reason I got rid of it).

hello everyone, just registered!

I think that is all of the titles, I have most for my ps2 I dont have the snk one or treasures 3.

legends one is the best bubble bobble, say no more! although leg.2 is great for liquid kids and fairyland story (never saw this one as a coin-op in the uk) the biggest drags are that there were four different titles emulated on the x-box version, bubble symphony was one: and the biggest drag of all was football champ- the controls did not latch so you could not volley the ball when crossed over, auto fire did not remedy this, and playing it on the x-box and mame this was never a problem :ponder:

graudius is not too bad at all, the driving games on arcade treasures are hellish to control and because of that apb is unplayable!

Activision anthology is the DB's  the music from back in the day that can play whist playing a game is great, picture the scene...... one a.m., wife bewildered at husband playing dragster against friend for the 80th time...... six seconds later 'just one more go' and so it continues! to a soundtrack of safteydance and kim wilde!

rolling thunder on namco 50 is worth a look as well as ghosts and goblins on the capcom classic vol.1 and I never remember bionic commando being that bad!

I found the very same thing -- only one store in the city of ca. 650,000 people where I then lived had it in stock. As soon as I heard, I went directly there after work and snagged the only copy left in stock. Another local video game retailer told me that he was completely unable to get copies from his supplier -- he could not even do a special order for me.

In contrast, other people reported finding stacks of that title in the bargain bin in their cities.
