I just got a 360. I am more of a classic gamer, but I watched a friend play Fable, and it looked amazing!

What are the 5 best games for the 360 iyho?

Please do not name any of the Call of Duty games, not my thing.

Call of Duty 2
Call of Duty 3
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
Call of Duty World at War
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2

Blech!

In all seriousness, I really enjoy:

Burnout Paradise
Any of the Katamari games
Castle Crashers on XBLA
'Splosion Man on CBLA

Stuff like this is so context sensitive. See, I loathe sports games, but someone might consider one of the Madden games to be one of the best 360 games. Well, here are my top 5 anyway, and they are DAMN good games any way you look at it.

1. Fallout 3
2. Bioshock
3. Mass Effect
4. Dead Rising
5. Street Fighter 4

I really enjoy simple/puzzle/platform games, and fantasy adventure. Ill probably grab up Fable, Fallout 3, and Mass Effect for now, and check out some of the xbla games.

if you like puzzle games and platform games then you should definitely try out 'Splosion Man! It's a puzzle platformer in which you're a science experiment with the power to explode. You have to blow yourself up to propel yourself past obstacles and bounce off walls in creative ways to get places. It's tons of fun and really, really funny! There's a free demo on Xbox Live that will give a really good feel of what the game is like.

It's definitely exactly what you're looking for. The game is simple to play but the puzzles get really quite difficult and it's a blast, nyuk nyuk.

A warning. Don't pick this game up. The multiplayer servers go dark in January, and the single player mode of this game isn't worth playing. For all intents and purposes, the single player mode was just a tutorial for playing the multiplayer mode.

Fallout 3
Oblivion
GTA IV
Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection
The Orange Box

There are a number of other games I'd consider for my top 5. Since Fallout 3 and Oblivion are doubtlessly on many other people's lists, I might sub in Street Fighter IV, Left4Dead, BioShock... blahh I can't narrow it down to 5...

How about a list of games that aren't topping lists, but were different and fun?

-Mirror's Edge
-Lego Star Wars Complete
-Banjo-Kazooie Nuts and Bolts
-Dead Space
-Dead Rising

I too recommend Dead Space. I got it for free for PS3(Just had to pay the shipping since I had credit from Amazon.com for preordering Modern Warfare 2) and I can't believe how good this game is. This is one of the few games that genuinely had me on edge like Silent Hill 1,2 and Condemned: Criminal Origins (Another good 360 title that's dirt cheap). The atmosphere and environments in the game are incredible. It isn't perfect though, but it really is great. It's a steal for how much you can get it now. There's re-playability too since you carry over what you've earned in the previous game, and it has pretty good length.

If older FPSers are your thing, Quake 4 comes with an extra disc that has Quake 2. I've actually traded in Quake 4 but kept the disc because I played it more than it's sequel. It has 4 player splitscreen campaign co-op (not sure if more people can join via LAN).

Oblivion is a no-brainer, that should be standard, be sure to get the GOTY edition for the expansions.

Fallout 3 (get GOTY version, well worth the $40-$60 you'll pay over the $20 for the stock version)
Oblivion (Fallouts Daddy, similar game with magic instead of guns)
Borderlands (it's like fallout, but more run'n'gun and less "RPG")
Lego games (Indianajones Batman, Starwars(myfave) all great games)
Need for speed Most wanted (checkout Froza and PGR if your into racers too)

There are literally great games hitting you in the face every where you turn for the 360....it shouldn't be to hard to find something you love.

5. Prey (still one of my faves)
Just my quick pick off top of head......can't go wrong with everyone elses picks either :)

BTW, Pac-man CE also comes in a physical disk format (if your not into DD like me) it's a great game and I'd say snag a copy if you find one. (or just DL it)
