OMG! Just had a revelation! You should probably be able to play Super Famicom games on this! And Retrobit just released an SNES flash cart!
And if I mod my Super 8, i'll be able to play Famicom and NES games on it too! Woot!

With the Super GameBoy adaptor you should be able to play original GameBoy games as well.

With two Super GameBoy II adaptors and two of these units you could even have linked GameBoy play.

It doesn't appear to have any built in games...the 20 built in games on the Portable Genesis I just got were a nice touch (although I would have picked different games).

Am I wrong?

What built games would there be? Nintendo is never going to let one of these guys put their games in one of these systems.

Nintendo would have no say in the matter if they decided to try to get 3rd party releases on it, they'd just would have to deal with companies like Konami.

Of course, it doesn't matter. It has a cartridge slot to play original cartridges.

My store won't be doing pre-orders on Silver since they will be here Tuesday, but once I get Silver I will put up pre-orders from Red and Black. Hopefully those will only be a few weeks away.

Found a video of the FC16 Go:
in that video the aux controllers are certainly *acting* 2.4ghzish. Not at all like the fc mobile II's which were suddenly scaled back to IR.

I may have to eat my comments about these, and buy as kind or a 'psone-style' system with other control options.

BUY or PRE-ORDER HERE!

Controllers are RF. Screen is excellent. Build quality is solid. Rechargeable battery is replaceable.

I am sending a unit to ReviewTechUSA, I will post that on my YouTube channel when he's done.

My gripes:
  • Screen flops a little bit, not really annoying while playing or anything, just me complaining
  • Its a bit big, size wouldn't bother me as much if they would have taken advantage of it more, for example putting controller ports on it
  • Mono sound
  • For some reason the reset button doesn't reset, it just powers the unit off

Other than that its a really good unit, I like it better than FC mobile 2 and GenMobile. I have Silvers for order now on the site, but other colors are pre-order only. I put early January as the ship time, but it will probably be earlier.

one quick question--is the d-pad split up into two pieces underneath? (like fc-mobile II)
or is it all one piece underneath? (like FC-Mobile I)

good to hear those wireless controllers stayed 2.4ghz

Looks sexy. Maybe the reset button can be modified.

Question.. maybe I missed it in the video since YouTube is lagging tonight for me.. how does the cartridge fit in? Is it flush with the back or does it stick out?

The D-pad is one single piece.

It sticks out about 60%. I do wish it went in more, but I didn't notice it hanging out much. Cart is easy to get in and out, but holds tight in the system.

What is the weight like. Does it feel like an electronic gadget or a bamboo stick?

Weight actually isn't too bad. Maybe a tiny bit heavier than FC Mobile 2.

One thing I will mention for international customers is that the AC adapter has an input range of 100v to 240v. So all you will need to use the AC adapter is a plug adapter. You should not need a voltage converter.

Man I was *this* close to ordering one of these today, but the shipping was a deal breaker. Not saying $31 US to send to Toronto isn't legit, but it's far too rich for my blood :(

Figgler I am not sure if you tried to order though us or not, but I am not sure where you got $31.00, unless you ordered something else with it. I just checked shipping to Toronto on our site and this is what I got:

USPS Priority Mail International - $29.25
USPS First Class Mail International Package - $16.71

Don't know what happened there. But, thanks StoneAge.
My order is officially in and you can colour me stoked. My hope is that this bad boy will come in time for Christmas and I can bring it while I jaunt about the province visiting family.
I'll post thoughts when it arrives.
Cheers :)

Stone, its a little off topic, but that scroll bar with UPS and USPS seems to trip people up. In most cases the UPS comes up first and is more on smaller orders, scaring people off. Maybe you could put a blurb about checking the options in bold around that. I hate to see a small business loose customers because of a website design issue that wasn't your choice. Maybe your provider could change that to be a little more clear also.

Well good news is I'm right outside of Detroit, the only question mark will be customs which I assume is jammed this time of year.

Well these things have been flying off the shelves and I think I underestimated a bit. We still do have some in stock, but I'm not sure how much longer. So I just wanted to give everyone an FYI that Yobo is sold out of silver temporarily, but they told me that they expect all colors to be in Thursday or Friday. So once I sell out of these I will put Silver up for pre-order (a long with Red and Charcoal) for anyone who wants to take advantage of our Holiday Sale and pre-orders will ship the day we get them in.

If Yobo does get them in Thursday or Friday pre-orders will be shipping mid to late next week. If you need to have one now we still got some in stock, but after that unfortunately (for us) another retailer or eBay will probably be your quickest option.

Thanks to everyone who has ordered so far. I did expect these to sell well, but never as well as they have.

Yeah Ax, I actually made USPS the first option yesterday after these posts. I actually hate how my store software does it and I really should look into getting it changed somehow. This area of the software isn't as flexible as I would like. I would prefer it to show shipping from cheapest to most expensive no matter the provider.

Thanks for the suggestion though.

I just got your message, and sent off my order. Just in time for christmas Too (I hope, mail always sucks this time of year, but it's still two weeks yet :P )

Anyhow, if it's half as awesome as the FC2 is, it's going to rule. Thanks again!
