Would anybody know what format is being used for the PS1 games that you can download from the Playstation network?

Reason I ask is that, I do have some PS1 games, and I was thinking of just ripping them (using Alcohol 120 maybe) to ISO and loading them into the PS3 HDD. Will this setup work?

Thank you.

Nope. They've got a proprietory wrapper on their files. You're not going to get any of your own ripped discs running on the PS3.
