I'm selling some of my old Amiga stuff that I either don't need any more or has some problems. I thought I'd offer it all up here before I put it on ebay. I'm going to put prices on what I'd like to get for this stuff, but I'll consider other offers. I prefer to use UPS for shipping as there is a UPS store right next to my employer. My quoted prices don't include shipping.

1. $50. I have a complete boxed 2.04 ROM upgrade kit, complete with the original box, ROM, instruction manual binder, and the original set of floppy disks (in the plastic 3-ring binder sleeves) that came with it. It's not sealed, but it's never been used. The box is in pretty good condition but it shows a little wear and tear. It's a fairly heavy item as the binder is pretty big, may be a little more expensive to ship.

2. $25. I have an Amiga ROM switcher, it's a small board that plugs directly into the ROM socket and allows you to switch between two different ROMs. It currently has a kickstart 1.3 ROM installed in one socket, the other is empty. I have no documentation on this and am not sure how to use it - I bought it from a seller in the UK (airey36 on ebay) and never plugged it in to my system.

3. $20 each. I have two extra Amiga 500s that don't work properly, both are Rev 5A motherboards. The could be used for parts or repair. Both of them will power on and you can see a display on the screen asking for a workbench disk to be inserted, however they will not read any disks. One has a kickstart 1.3 ROM, the other has a 1.2. I suspect the floppy drive is bad on both of them, but there could be other issues as well. Both are just in fair cosmetic condition, one is yellowed pretty badly on the case and keyboard. I don't have extra power supplies to ship with them, you'd need your own.

4. $70. I have one DataFlyer 500 external hard drive with 2MB of RAM installed. It works fine and has Workbench 2.04 installed on the drive. Not sure what size the drive is, I think it's in the 250MB range. I don't have a working Amiga 500 with a 2.04 ROM (my 500 has 1.3 installed), so when I plug it in it tells me that I need to upgrade the ROM in order for it to boot. I used it with an external PC power supply to provide power to the hard drive (just plugged in one of the molex connectors to the back of the hard drive), which is what the guy who sold it to me told me that he did. I'm not sure if it will work without that or not, I'd be happy to ship the PC power supply I was using along with it, it's out of an old Pentium 133MHz machine and I have no other use for it anyway. I was told by the seller that it has about 40MB of games installed on the drive already, but I never confirmed that.

5. $10. I have an external floppy drive (model 1010 I think?) that doesn't work, might be good for repair or to put a different floppy drive in.

Thanks,

Steve

If it had a power supply, I'd totally fix up one of those borked miggys. :(

At $20, you're not taking too big a gamble on 'em - so if you want one, I'd try first replacing the floppy (so many of them are going bad these days. ALL floppy based systems that is) and see if it'll boot into Workbench or maybe a game. I don't have any A500 specific drives right now, but could test with one from an A2000. Typical problems for Amiga systems are bad CIA & RAM chips. CIA's and ALL others are socketed though, but the RAM is not :(

So, yeah...at $20 a pop and if you have to replace a drive (another $30 +/-), still not a bad deal if no soldering work is involved. Last A500 mobo I worked on had too many video & RAM problems. Ended turning it into a wall decoration. lol Working mobo's can be had from $20-$30 in most cases.
