It is the reason I bought a PS3.

It is about 7 to 8 hours, but you may want to replay some scenes before going forward.

This was a very weird game but the first game I ever played where you can make a girl get naked take a shower and pee lmao.

This game is amazing. I don't like my PS3 that much (except for Valkyria Chronicles) but this is must buy, or at least try it you won't regret it.

A "must buy"? Or would just renting it give me the same enjoyment? I doubt the variable endings are really worth playing through everything a second time for.

Depends how you do the first time. I don't want to spoil anything but I didn't do very good so I had to do it again to unfold the story. I suppose it's probably better as a rental for most people but I like to own the games I really like.

I bought Heavy Rain with my PS3 a couple weekends ago. I'm not done with it yet as my gaming time has been limited of late, but I've really enjoyed it. It has its wrinkles, but there are some parts of it that are pretty fantastically done. It has a very cinematic feel.

What I find odd is that no-one is calling it an adventure game, but really, that's what it is, minus the inventory

Yes it is. I would like to see a sequel to Phantasmagoria or Gabriel Knight using a similar kind of gameplay with the same production values.
