Tell me about it... I'm having a reasonably good go, honing in nicely on my best score, then I bomb their hanger maybe and the next thing the status bar corrupts, various damage, when I land the bombs counter keeps on going so I press fire to skip but the best I can do is take off with gun damage, then other random damage and finally the game locks up apart from the scrolling

Will make a final attempt to get into the top three tomorrow

p.s. when I said 'fly up' to land earlier I meant to move to the top of the screen, not up in the air, this way you land mid screen and can see what is coming after you.

I just completed the game with no fuel! I got the flashing green and was flying low, looking for the runway when I noticed I had only 3 fuel left. (is that litres or gallons?) I pulled back like a maniac to get altitude just before I ran out. I drifted and barely made it past the black bars on the runway to land. (...ever crash on those black bars? It's like a kick in the balls.)

I scrambled to take a picture of the scoreboard showing 0 fuel, but the final rating came up before I could take a picture. (lousy Class 3 Squadron Leader, 10920)

So I'm having my best ever go... get to the city part and the targets are flashing and changing size rapidly, can't bomb them then I think I flew back to prehistoric times see pics below

Just when I thought this might be an advantage I crashed into an even larger one:

That's me done, great game especially when you get on a killing spree, but think I need to download a different copy

Voting still open, it's neck and neck between the two favourites

That's pretty good; you ran into tought times with your game crashing. Speaking of crashing, I had two good games going until I crashed into a crash of an airplane-- reminds my of Tales of Beta Lyrae. So even if you blow up an airplane, you can crash into its wreckage in mid-air.

I got the same class rating as you although not in score:

I just got 14410. I only had one building in the city to get. A plane bombed me on the runway one second before I was about to take off. (lousy bastard!)

I also got Class 1 Squadron Leader again - with only 9440. I can't get that damn Blue Max rating.

7,100 second game. Both were crashing into other planes interesteringly enough.

Nearly got hit by bombs twice, and ran out of fuel and coasted in another time. That was cool.

Probably could have beat 14,000 easy if I had been watching this. This is a old fav of mine.

I wouldn't mind if we extended time for this game for the weekend (or a week) as I'm just getting hang of it now but stopped playing due to deadline.

Congratulations to Fandal for his third win of the season. It's been a busy two weeks, nice to see so many new and old Looks like you're up next then roadrunner as it's 'from the skies to making fries' could add a further pun of making a hash of it but thought better of it

I also finally got Flying Tiger. I think Flying Tiger must be the "consolation prize" for people who are good enough to be Blue Max, but die before completing it. (..that's my theory anyway)

I completed everything, but had fuel damage and wasn't going to make it. So I went as high as possible and ran out of fuel. Just then, a runway came up very suddenly (earlier than I ever saw it before) and I had to go down fast to avoid missing the runway. Unfortunately, I went down too fast.... as you can see.
